Accommodation excellent, indoor breakfast excellent. However, outdoor / marquee dining for evening meal was only okay. BBQ food only and despite heaters the marquee was cold.

Coping well with Covid-19 restrictions
The bedrooms and ensuites are spacious and clean and the beds very comfortable. I advise that you ask for a room with a view - my view of the back of a building was somewhat off-putting! As this is an old building, it has old-world grandeur. Its grounds are very large and pleasant with a golf course as well as fishing (at a cost). As I stayed during the Covid-19 restrictions,the bar was closed and the restaurant housed in a large bamboo tent with a reduced BBQ-themed menu (varied on certain days). I understand that live music is provided for diners on certain nights. Having stayed in this hotel before, the non-availability of its fully functioning restaurant was unfortunate. However, the hotel is to be commended for how it is coping with the restrictions of the pandemic, and the staff are nice and respectful. Breakfast is served in the hotel's function room at present and is of a very good quality.

The Hotel itself is charming, stunning grounds, great food and beautiful rooms. It really met with our expectations and we would definitely return. he only issue we all experienced was poor communication with the front reception staff. We had booked a falconry appointment on our last day there and they completely screwed it up and we ended up not going which was really disappointing . Also we found the majority of the staff on the front desk to be

Beautiful Hotel
Room was fabulous, views amazing but as i was there on business and arrived late i was disappointed to learn that i could not order anything at all to eat at 9pm. Receptionist offered to help with a take away but it wasnt something i was interested in.

The grounds are fantastic!! The hotel is surrounded by trees which is sooo relaxing! The swimming pool area is a gem and the leisure team is extremely friendly and helpful! On top of that, the food was amazing. It was a great stay and I will probably come again! Thank you!
