We LOVE your hotel and always stay there when we come to Ireland. We also have recommended you to family who have stayed and enjoyed their stays as well.
The hotel was in a perfect place for exploring the town. The rooms were large, modern and spotless. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was very disappointing. It cost €12.50 per person. Breakfast wasn't included in our room price so we paid separately. We had breakfast in the hotel on 3 occasions due to the convenience. Breakfast fruit to have with yogurt or cereal was tinned/frozen. For the price I was expecting fresh fruit as per similar hotels we stayed in. The coffee and food was obviously prepared very much in advance as the coffee was always slightly cool on arrival at the table and the scrambled egg arrived on the plate dry as a bone and dome shaped. The choice of hot breakfast items was limited. I did not voice my opinions to the staff. They were all lovely and it wasnt their fault the food they were serving was less than satisfactory. We did have one evening meal in the hotel and it was very tasty. However we were seated in the orangery despite my telling the staff i did not want to sit there. There was absolutely no atmosphere in the orangery and many empty tables. When i expressed my concerns the staff member breezily replied "well I think its lovely in the orangery" and proceeded to herd my husband and I to the table.
