"We use this hotel as a base for exploring the surrounding area. Everywhere we visited was an hour or so away. It was reasonably priced, although breakfast wasn't included. All the staff were encountered were genuinely friendly and helpful. Despite the weather being bad we didn't mind spending the extra time at the hotel as our room was warm, spacious and comfortable. The WiFi signal isn't the best and couldn't be realied upon by someone who is very digitally dependant. Efforts have been made to made to maintain the hotel but there are a few areas that are the worse for wear but a bit of tlc would go a long way to update it. "

" Room clean and tidy. Excellent simple shower. Bed comfortable. Staff friendly. While all the above were very good, to our mind the jewel in the crown was the excellent food. Unusual for us we ate in the hotel every one of the 4 evenings and therefore tasted a wide variety of the food on offer. Every dish was excellent allied to a very good breakfast a great place to eat."
