"Kitchen setup was great"

"The housekeeper came to reset our TV. It was the first time I've met my housekeeper. She was so friendly and asked if she could do anything else. She asked if the room was ok because she had she had cleaned it. I liked knowing my housekeeper. "

"We really enjoyed our stay here! The house is older but has all the comforts of home, with lots of thoughtful touches throughout. Anytime we needed something, it was there — from toiletries and cooking spices to little candies left for the kids when we checked in.We loved the remote, rural setting — it was peaceful and a great place to unwind after long days of hiking, biking, and exploring the forest. The only small downside was some traffic noise from trucks passing by in the mornings, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.It was so nice having a comfortable place to come back to each night, make a homemade meal, clean up, and relax before another day of adventure. We didn’t get a chance to use the outdoor fire pit (we talked about it every night but were too tired from exploring!), so that’s something to look forward to next time.We’d definitely love to come back — there’s so much more to do and see in the area!"

"The property is phenomenal. The view is so beautiful we had our coffee on the deck every morning. It is a hidden gem. The owners are wonderful people. I highly recommend staying at the Rustic Ridge. You won’t be disappointed. I definitely want to return. "

"First trip to Shawnee for our anniversary and we chose this cabin because of it’s location and were very pleased. Super close to garden of the gods which is great. Easy to find and check in, host checked in with us multiple times to make sure all was good, nice clean cabin! Our only complaint was that the neighboring 8 cabins were pretty close so it wasn’t the most private, but it also gives you a little area to walk around which is nice. And when we went to use the hot tub after our day of hiking, it wasn’t hot yet and took a while to heat up- which is totally not the hosts fault- just more of a heads up to future guests to check the temp because we forgot to as soon as we got there! We would definitely come back!"

"Great location - cabin is nicely equipped with basic necessities. Couldn’t have a fire because of dryness in the area but loved the hot tub for achy muscles and relaxation. Would come again "
