We had a wonderful stay at Vila Foz Club in the Algarve and really enjoyed our holiday. The property was beautiful, relaxing and had a lovely atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The location was fantastic, the surroundings were stunning, and everything was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience felt comfortable and enjoyable. We had a brilliant time and would definitely recommend Vila Foz Club to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay in the Algarve. We’d happily come back again! 🌞🌊🇵🇹

Great hotel

I would say the amenities were good and the breakfast was delicious. Overall a pleasant hotel House keeping were friendly however I feel like the front of house staff could be more attentive and welcoming. For the price I paid I feel like I should have got better service. For example, when asking for water for my room it felt like I was asking for too much. They also don’t take your luggage to your room when checking and downstairs when checking out - For a 5 star hotel, that’s the least I would expect.

We had a good stay at Palmares overall. The property itself is gorgeous and our Signature Apartment was a huge highlight — spacious, spotless, well designed and really comfortable. We had a two bedroom and the second bedroom was actually separate from the main apartment, which was great for privacy. The staff was also incredibly kind and helpful. The location is great, It’s only about 10 minutes from Lagos town, but feels peaceful and exclusive compared to the madness of Old Town, and being so close to Meia Praia was a huge plus. Where it fell short was the 5 star experience. There were a lot of unfinished details that added up. Breakfast was honestly pretty bad — cold food, very little variety and coffee from an automatic machine. For a 5 star resort in Europe, I’d expect much better. There was also A LOT of construction, no gym, and huge cranes obstructing the beach views. They kindly offer golf cart rides toward the beach, but you’re dropped off on a dirt road and still have to walk down to the beach. Overall, good but not great. It definitely didn’t feel 5 star yet, but it seems like they’re still getting everything up and running. The property has so much potential, so hopefully once construction is done and they iron out the details, it’ll be amazing.
