A great stay at this very modern apartment complex 👍 Booked a 6 night break over the Xmas period at good price via Expedia. Flamingos salgados is in a quiet area in between the Albufeira Marina and Amerco de pera (Galé /Gui area) so a car is ideally required unless you want to use Uber or Taxis to get around. The beach isn't far from the complex but due to the road designs and lack of pathways it's around a 2.5k walk or drive to reach. This complex was only built in 2024/25 and to a high standard. We had a 1 bedroom apartment with fully fitted kitchen, microwave, kettle, toaster, 4 ring induction hob, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine x2 (Espresso and filter drip) plus a good selection of plates, cups, glasses and cutlery. There is a large balcony accessed from living area and bedroom that gets the sun all day from around 11am to sunset. Reception spoke good English and where very welcoming plus they accommodated our early check in request. They also gave us a small sweet pastry present on Xmas day so this was appreciated. A couple of things to note. Underground parking is available at a charge (€5 I think), but free parking is available outside on street. You will need to bring your own washing up liquid , kitchen towels, Tea cloths, coffee pods to avoid the frustration others have noted on some reviews. Ok I know this is a 3 star hotel but the beds and pillows are the worse I have ever experienced at any hotel. Hard bed and the thinnest pillows ever. We upgraded to “all inclusive” but only breakfast was included at this hotel. Even though they have a snack bar with drinks and snacks available, we were told we’d have to pay or take a shuttle to one of there 4 other hotels in the area to eat or drink. Ridiculous policy. The staff were all great and the property is well maintained however everything is very old and in need of renovations.
