Everything was great during my ten-day stay in one of the one-bedroom apartments. With the option to enter from the street without going through the lobby, it felt much more like renting an apartment than staying in a hotel. There was plenty of room to relax, get some work done, prepare food in the fully equipped kitchen, and enjoy breakfasts on the spacious balcony overlooking a forested area. Having a washer and dryer in the bathroom was also very convenient. Getting around couldn't have been easier with an entrance to the subway in the same building and many connecting buses departing from the large shopping mall next door.

Apartment was clean and well equipped. Metro was a minute away. Shopping centre a two minute walk, with plenty of restaurant/supermarket choices and entertainment. Did find that apartment could be very warm at times (had balcony door and windows open to combat this). WiFi was patchy.

I did not get a stay. I did not get any refund although my relatives notified them of my hospitalisation 5 days beforehand. Their policy was emailed to me that I could only get a refund if I emailed them 24 hours before the start of the stay if I made an alternative booking. I could not access my emails until I came home. I did make an alternative booking as soon as I accessed my emails but their policies would not allow a refund

Hotel Matts Espoo
Apartment was very good just one small item there was no mirrors in bedrooms they were in hall and bathrooms but ladies need mirror in bedroom. Hotel reception expensive when the bar has closed. Bar was not always open as closed on a Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The staff were very helpful and answered any queries immediately. The hotel has good access to transport with many HSL/HRT bus options and a metro on the door step which provides straight access to Helsinki plus car parking beneath hotel if required providing lifts into hotel. A large shopping centre is a short stroll next to hotel and only 1.9km from water front. On the whole a very pleasing stay we visit Finland two to three times a year and Hotel Matts is now our choice when visiting.

Lovely location and very friendly staff. The studio room is well equipped with useful items and appliances. There's also a balcony with an absolutely gorgeous view of sunsets.

Highly recommend; great hotel
Lovely hotel, great service and welcoming staff. Room was clean and Spacious and the location right next to the metro and the shopping mall was really convenient. Will definitely be staying here again.

Great location
Staff was very welcoming and smiling. After a long trip they made me feel at home. They had complementary water for the guests. The room was comfortable and clean. Location was great 100 meter from a major mall. Metro station was walking distance as well. Breakfast was pretty good as well
