"We paid extra for an “upgraded” Deluxe Room, 1 King Bed, Patio, it is the smaller building to the right as you are driving up to the motel. We were so disappointed! First, there is no elevator, so you have to carry your bag up the stairs. The room looked old and run down and not very clean. The worst thing was the bed. It was so hard and you could actually feel the wood as you lay on the mattress. The pillows were flat and very uncomfortable. There was a spider that crawled out of the bedding. There were gnats in the room, near the sink. The toilet seat was dirty, thankfully I had some wet wipes, so I could clean it. You could hear the person in the room above us, walking around. There is no shelf in the shower, so I had to put my stuff on the shower floor, gross. The shower was very hard to find a point between scalding and cold. Staff was subpar at best. When we checked out, I told the guy about the bed, pillows and shower. He didn’t apologize or offer to make it right, he just said, I will let management know. I don’t understand how this hotel has such good reviews, our stay was awful, would not recommend! "

"Front reception were very helpful and welcoming. Rooms were spacious. Downside was coffee/food not available after 9am I believe? Doesn’t help for anyone who has a late night out or prefers to sleep in on vacation. Gym is very small but appreciate the water refill station in there, super cold water (: "

"We had a wonderful stay at Jose's property. First, the property looked like the pictures and the backyard is amazing. We just completed our trip and were glad to pay for the heated pool...my kids loved being able to swim when we returned from our days cavorting around California. They kept everything well stocked and I appreciated that there was a vacuum onsite as we like to keep things tidy daily. Jose was incredibly responsive and checked in to ensure we knew he was available. Thanks so much!"

"This house was perfect for our week in California. Alicia and Ed were great hosts checking with us daily for any needs. The home was clean, kitchen stocked well. Plenty of shopping nearby for groceries. House is as shown in the pictures. Neighborhood great for walking My only minor complaint would be the mattress for the queen beds. "
