The property was average - nothing special but clean. The breakfast buffet was deceptive. It appeared like a standard free hotel breakfast bar (minus the waffle maker) but was actually $12 per person. Unfortunately, we were not aware of this charge until AFTER we took some food. Considerably overpriced for the offerings. Most of the pastries were stale and my daughter found a moldy English muffin in the self-serve box.

We will be back!

Everything was great! It was clean, well kept and the pool was perfect. Usually when we stay at a hotel we don’t get to enjoy the pool because it’s so cold. This pool was warm enough for the whole family to get in and enjoy. Our view from our hotel window was great too. We will be back for all of these reasons.

In the dark

I saw your sign from the highway, but on the street, I wasn't sure it was the Hilton. At night, the room was bright from the street lights and the shade didn't make the room dark.

Time to replace the mattress

We like this location and hotel and have stayed here a few times. The bed was not comfortable this time and we didn’t get much sleep due to the mattress being springy and having dips. My back was not supported which caused a lot of pain. The view of the pond is beautiful. The shower was nice.

Did not like that as a Hilton Honors member I could not get a bottle of water. Booked through room stay through Expedia, instead of the Hilton app. Would not give me my points, or the water. Next time I’ll go through Expedia and book Comfort Inn.

Couldn’t close blinds. Stared at a giant ac unit.

I couldn’t figure out how to close the blinds to make the room dark. So I felt like I had the windows open all night and people could stare at me. But fortunately, the only thing in front of my window is a giant air conditioning unit all in all it was fine.

The motel is incredibly attractive and was in that sense the highlight of our cross-country trip. No other motel came close to the beauty and cleanliness of this property. There was an unusually long wait for someone to appear at the front desk, delaying our check-in. When the staff member who works the front desk did eventually appear, there was no effort to apologize for my wait. Two other employees saw me pacing in front of the front desk looking for help but did not volunteer any assistance whatsoever. There were a number of competing and equally attractive motels nearby, and I will probably try one of them should I return to Evansville.

Hidden fees

They require you to pay an extra $50 at check in in case you spend money instead of having you pay at checkout or leave a card on file. They said it will go back to your card in a few days after check out if you dont soend anything but we still havent gotten it back and we didnt really have that extra to spend anyway. It was a ridiculous extra fee that they spring on you at last second. They also dont keep track of who actually buys what as they charged another rooms drinks to our room and tried to take it off the $50 and we had to make a complaint.
