"Our room was beautiful, clean, spacious and comfy! We were down on the end past the kitchen so not on the side by the spa. The geothermal spa is amazing and even felt good sitting in the rain since the water is so warm. The grounds looked great, very relaxing in the mountains. The only downside is there are no food options (hotel is in a remote area) other than the hotel restaurant and the menu is small."

"We stayed at Guesthouse Vatnsholt with another couple at the end of July. We booked the Deluxe room, which was quite spacious and a beautiful view. The other couple booked a standard room which was very small but clean. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. Although the guesthouse was in a beautiful location, it felt overrun by campers, which they allow on the property. There were a lot of kids playing on the grounds, which is nice to see, but created a lot of noise. The breakfast was quite expensive for what was served. We had stayed in other guesthouses in Iceland that served a better breakfast at a much lesser cost. We were also surprised that we had to pay to use the pool table."
