Absolutely stunning cottage in a quiet location on the outskirts of the local town. Everything within a few minutes drive Glasgow and Edinburgh both within a half hour drive. With quick access onto the motorway. A lovely clean and comfortable cottage. A very homely feel. Our third time visiting the cottage. And would definitely go again and again.
We had a great time with our family at five. The house is very comfortable and beautiful. It was a great central location.

Great Stay
Such a great location for local and semi distant attractions. Great links to motorways and Larbert Railway station for great days out. Cottage is comfortable and well presented. Carole and her team couldn't have been more helpful.
Had a great stay at the cottage. It was beautiful at this location. Only some what issue was with the dryer taking a few cycles to fully dry clothes but otherwise everything was wonderful
The setting is delightful! I could see the sheep in the pasture from my room—& loved that. Also, after days of sightseeing & lots of walking, the peace of South Doll Farm Cottage was wonderful.
Since we did not rent a car, there was quite a bit of taxi expense getting us to trains. And we had to have 2 taxis for the 7 of us (a 3-generation family group).
Communication before our trip was great, Kirsteen faithfully answering questions as I emailed her.
And just a couple of things you might want to know about that we experienced—when we arrived there were only 5 forks in the kitchen drawer, even though the table can seat 8, and there were 7 of us. Also, for 73-year-old me, the shower was very difficult to operate, specifically to turn the water on. I realize this may not be an issue for most people, & I was finally able to turn the water off completely, but always had to get help turning it on. Carole responded to a request for regulating the water temperature. And we left a corkscrew there that we purchased. Apparently someone had taken the one that had been there.
Overall South Doll Farm Cottage was a wonderful experience for us. Thank you!

Comfortable cottage in a great location
We were very pleased with the cottage, there was plenty of room for the 7 of us and ideally located between Edinburgh, Stirling, Falkirk and Glasgow. We were very warm and cosy and enjoyed ourselves immensely in beautiful Scotland, I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely cottage.
This house was interesting but in many ways unsuitable for us as there is still a few steps to go down to the ground floor bedroom. The second bedroom downstairs is past the living room so access to the bathroom is not private and therefore not suitable for many guests.Upstairs a similar layout with one bedroom being far away from the bathroom. We were disappointed that there was no garden furniture put out when we arrived as for me that was the attraction to the property. After we pointed this out it was rectified late the next morning but therefore limited our use of it .The Perspex cover on the centre table was badly chipped and could have been dangerous for my elderly parents if they grazed their legs in it.The radiator cover in the passage near the kitchen fell off and again could have been dangerous. The location was however convenient for what we wanted to do and see.
Property had all amenities and was very clean. Roomy bathrooms and bedrooms. Good amount of hot water and everything well maintained, regarding appliances and premisis. At night, upstairs was hot and downstairs was cold. I really wish that upstairs had some circulation, as it was too warm to sleep there, and we had to sleep downstairs. Know going in that you will not have access to the entire property, and that other guests are staying on other parts of the property. Really appreciated communication with the business office, but did not sync up well with the property manager. Also, the wifi code/password is on the bottom of the router. Property is located well for forays around Stirling/Falkirk, and we took train in to Edinburgh Waverly. Some road noise when outside, but it didn't bother us inside.
