"Lovely place to stay, basically a guest room in a shared house though. Quiet hours meant no late showers which was hard when our days were planned ahead of time. Host was sweet and the room was nice, just felt like a lot of rules that would’ve been helpful ahead of time. The small town is so fun, loved walking around the stores and trying all the local restaurants - they close early so plan for that!"

"The location was perfect for my needs. The room was tastefully decorated. There was no issue with the separate bathroom. The bed was a bit creaky and a mattress topper would be a good investment. My coffee machine didn’t work but had instant coffee. There was no continental breakfast left in the room unfortunately. The house beer in pub great .. Staff were friendly. I will definitely stay there again Thank you"

"Second time staying. Location is excellent. Reception check in/out options great. Value for money is great too. A couple of issues. 1 I could not get the temperature to adjust. I was freezing cold all the time during my stay, which was just a flying visit in and out, but quite the disturbed sleep due to being so cold. Yes I could have called reception but middle of the night I’m not sure what they could have done / I was too tired to have maintenance in my room at that hour so stuck it out. Tried to adjust it so many times but no joy. Was stuck on 21 degrees. My only other gripe was Breakfast. Staff didn’t seem to be loving working there. Constant requirement to refill the stash of cups but they would only put 2 out at a time eh uh resulted in them having to do it again and again. Odd. The product offering was poor overall. Felt like minimal tick the box. No juices left, and despite a lovely barista machine I was told no, there’s a jug of coffee on the table elsewhere. Also the quantity’s of such was as if it was coming out of the staff pockets. Great for sustainability and keeping waste to a minimum, but there was clearly a lot of people waiting on food and instead of bringing out enough apples, they just bring out two resulting in people taking them swiftly and others are left with little or empty bowls again. I’m all for minimal waste but this was quite excessive."

"I had a great stay at the Tower Hotel. The only hiccup I had during my trip was that the outlets kept going out (even to just charge my phone with an adapter). I had to call maintenance to my room around 6-8 times during my 7 day stay. Maintenance was super helpful, they didn’t come right away, but nonetheless they would show up eventually to fix the breaker. Not sure if this was due to the construction going on throughout the hotel, if the voltage conversion was failing, or any other reason, but this did cause some annoyance to my stay. Appreciated the hotel’s support nonetheless."

"Apex is a very nice hotel, conveniently located in the City of London. Super close to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, just a block away from a tube station. Easy to access anywhere in London from here. Clean hotel with spacious rooms and helpful staff. Would definitely return in the future."

"I booked a deluxe studio but hadn’t realised from the pictures when booking on a phone that the shower opened directly into the main room at the end of the bed. It was only when I stretched the pictures when looking back at my room choice that I could see this. The shower had a clear glass door meaning that there was not any privacy at all for anyone showering and also stepping directly into the bedroom to get out of the shower. The toilet and sink were at the other side of the room in a very small room. It was a very unusual set up. As I was travelling with my 20 year old daughter, the lack of privacy when showering really bothered me. I was surprised that it had never been mentioned in a review before. I spoke to Charlie at the front desk who thankfully moved us to a one bedroom room. This room was perfect as it had a separate bathroom. I couldn’t fault this room and we enjoyed our stay. Perfect location for a weekend in London."
