"The hotel is very nice and the restaurant has very nice meals. The breakfast in the morning is buffet style and well maintained by the staff. The staff are very friendly and the place is very well looked after. Hotel did not have a fitness centre and the bar while staffed was somewhat underwhelming. Beds are firm but still comfortable. Please be aware there is no on street parking and the hotel’s underground parking costs 15€ per day."

"We didn’t want the full breakfast bar so we orders from the menu. They were either out of, or forgot, half our order, never brought napkins or silverware as requested, then could not do room charge. The buffet might have been good but otherwise would suggest going elsewhere for breakfast."

"The Staff was very helpful, the room and hotel were clean. We had a few drinks at the bar and they were great. We did not use the breakfast restaurant."

"It is a basic motel similar to USA. Room was basic but comfortable. It is located at a gas station-mini mart, trucker parking area. Kind of an isolated location. The free lite breakfast was better than I expected. So all good for a basic motel with nice lite breakfast. Staff was helpful."

"This was a very nice hotel on the banks of the Douro river, excellent restaurant with delicious Portuguese wines. My only complaint is that the restaurant doesn't open until 07:30 for breakfast so I was offer a reception breakfast which truly terrible. Plastic long life white bread, processed ham and cheese and sugary snack, and terrible coffee. Shame as that's what I remember but otherwise was excellent. "
