Lovely spacious cottage in ideal location

The cottage was brilliant with everything we needed. We all had a great time at The Bay. The swimming pool and tennis facilities were well used and the beach was gorgeous. Will definitely be returning soon.

Great spacious family cottage

We went for a short break to this lovely house. The cottage has everything you need and the separate lounge made a great escape! Loved the free wifi as 3G signal is ropy here and the pubs on site wifi a little slow. Great value, extremely clean and well equipped! We will be back!

We loved the house, very comfortable and handy for shops and swimming pool, free entry was a great b

Was close to Filey so could pop over there to pick up fish n chips. We spent an enjoyable time at both the Coble beach at Filey where parking was easy. Also we visited a nearby children's farm and play barn which was great value. The house itself was lovely and had everything we needed. Especially liked all the TVs and WiFi.

A good holiday

The cottage was very modern and clean. We loved The Bay resort with its stunning private beach and amenities close by. We had a lovely trip to Sewerby Hall which is highly recommended. Only criticism would be the comfort of the single beds in the property which would probably suit children rather than adults. A good holiday overall, in lovely surroundings and a home-from-home base.

Beautiful, fully equipped home in a growing village with access to a lovely wide sandy beach.

Stayed for a week in this home from home. Fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of seating for a large family or group. Very clean. TVs in every room. Warm and comfortable. House is on a lovely quiet purpose built village with access to one of the best beaches in the country. The beach and village are dog friendly which was great. The on site facilities were good - restaurant, pub, leisure centre and pharmacy. Would definitely stay again.

Christmas at “The Bay” with Anchor Bay Holidays.

A beautiful house, so very comfy, spotlessly clean and welcoming. Anthony is a perfect hosts and was excellent with matching our needs to the perfect cottage. We were kept updated with all the information for checking in and guides to help with our stay. A lot of attention to detail and to a high standard. The cottages has been carefully designed and lots of extras were included, in fact everything that you may need during your stay. Will highly recommend to friends, we loved it so much that we have already booked our next visit. Thank you so very much for making our holiday so very special for our Christmas break as a family.

Beautifully presented cottage

We had a lovely time at the cottage, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. There is all you need provided for. The bay is a lovely development and we loved the walks with our cockapoo on the sweeping (huge!) sandy beach. The owners are very responsive to messages and I would not hesitate to recommend this holiday cottage to anyone. It is well loved by the owners. Thank you for a great time in your home! Rachel x

Fabulous spacious family house

We've stayed on the Bay several times but this is the best house by far! It has a separate lounge to a v large kitchen diner. The house is so beautifully furnished and has everything needed in the kitchen to fully cater for a family on holiday we didn't need to eat out at all. The kids were v happy with TVs in each bedroom and games and dvds were a lovely touch. Having access to the beach is great although this house is at the far end of the Bay, which means a slightly longer walk, it has the advantage of being really quiet as no one else walk past it like the others properties. We used the swimming pool on site and had a drink in the pub which has the advantage of allowing dogs in! We will definitely stay at this property again as it was the perfect holiday house for us!

Wonderful break

We spent a wonderful 4 nights at Anchor at the Bay. We are a family spanning 3 generations (from 6 -70 years) and there was something to satisfy us all. The house was beautifully appointed with all mod cons and creature comforts; very spacious and quiet. The only thing we felt could have been improved upon (and in no way a reflection on the accommodation) were the facilities for younger children on site at the Bay which were sadly lacking . Simple amenities such as a play park with swings/slide/seesaw etc (there was only one small slide) and maybe an occasional kids activity club offering crafts/games etc would have been welcome. The location was perfect, only a 15 min walk to glorious Filey beach and close to Bridlington, Scarborough, Malton and Sewerby all of which we visited during our stay. We shall return! Thank you.

Upsetting

We have received a very upsetting message fom owner that in the five years he has owned this property never had damage like this a whole list of things that were found and what he had to do to put this right we were not aware of any of this and then he said cleaners could not get into property at 10 am we had packed up everything my husband was waiting at the car when they arrived I was just saying goodbye to people next door house was ready for them to go in my husband said they had just arrived the owner said they had to leave and come back but as we left they were unloading van,I have booked with Owners Direct in the past also visited Filey Bay and had lots of self catering holidays and have never experienced anything like this I would never anyone's property different than my own there were lots of things that were not as I would have expected with bond cleaning fee and extra for pet the owner has had extra £230 so cost of holiday was £1416,we had a very enjoyable family holiday but ruined by very upsetting message from owner Thank you Wilma Burns

AMAZING HOLIDAY IN AN AMAZING HOLIDAY HOME

So I've just spent my first ever doggy holiday and what can i say it was AMAZING. Anthony Smith and Family your home is the perfect home from home with the added extra of the beach just 10minutes from the front door through a beautiful nature reserve or meadow as it's called. We spent 2 weeks in the Smith family home and everything from the decor to the weather couldn't have been better. The location of the house was brilliant due to the closeness of the beach and the facilities that the Bay holiday Village provides, Anyone going here or looking for a place to go with either children, animal or both will love everything about it. The Bay and the surrounding area has so much to do as well, from walking to Go Ape for the more adventurist and shopping in Scarborough or York too not to mention the fun things like Archery, swimming and Tennis that is all free when you stay at the Bay and if you stay at the Anchor you can even bring your dog with you to enjoy it even more. By the time i put my two in kennels for 2 weeks i was more than halfway to paying my bill for the cottage for 2 weeks so I felt i'd had a holiday at a fraction of the price it would normally cost me. So why The Anchor at the Bay? The location of the cottage is amazing (apart from some traffic noise if you leave windows open) the open space of the meadow is a great place for the children to kick a ball or play with a frisbee without annoying other people and when we did it the neighbours came out and joined in and we had a great time. The house is in the middle of 3 or 4 other houses yet you couldn't hear anything from any of the neighbours and one family next door had 5 children under 10 with them. The house has one family bathroom and a down stairs toilet and we had 5 adults (three daughters in their late teen early twenties) staying and not once did we find this a problem.The lay out of the house is amazing with a separate lounge so when my daughters wanted to watch Love Island my husband went and sat in the seating area of the kitchen and watched the tv in there. there was also tv's in all the bedrooms so five adults could all comfortably watch a programme of their choice at the same time all be it in separate rooms of course. So all in all an AMAZING holiday was had especially by the dogs may I add who did not have to spend any time behind bars as my daughter calls it when they go to kennels. We as a family will be returning to The Anchor sometime soon I hope.

A lovely home at The Bay

The host of The Anchor, Anthony, was super! Really communicative and helpful. We would definitely recommend and stay again! We stayed here for a long weekend while we were looking after our niece and nephew and our 2 children. The house was just as described in the photographs, immaculately presented, spacious, and equipped with everything you need for a holiday away. The living area and the dining room with a small sofa enabled the adults to have some quiet time on an evening, but there was plenty of space for everyone to be together as well. The bay itself is a perfect place to use the facilities such as the swimming pool and gym, or go down to the beach, go into Filey or explore the coast further afield. We would recommend going to The Beach Café in Hunmanby for outdoor breakfast, which you can reach by walking south along the beach for about a kilometre when the tide is out.

Fantastic accomodation

Andrew was an amazing host and his property in Filey is absolutely beautiful. We had a fantastic time celebrating my nephew's first birthday. As we could bring our dog, we enjoyed fabulous walks at Flamborough Head, Bridlington and Scarborough. Memories for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much, Andrew!

Best one yet !!

We’ve been quite a lot to the bay at Filey and ‘Anchor at the bay ‘ was one of the nicest homes we’ve stayed in so far! It was fabulous ! perfect for a family ! Very comfy warm and welcoming also very well equipped!! Our dog loved it and was made to feel very welcome! Would definitely go back again!!

Excellent Weekend

From booking to our return home communications we’re excellent.We always felt that our concerns could and would be dealt with. The accommodation was well appointed and in excellent condition.As a family we have been going to The Bay for many years and have a good appreciation of many properties on the site, and, Anchor at the Bay is well up there with the best of them and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Beautiful cottage

A lovely house in a great location

Excellent customer service - Anthony was great at communicating with me and responded very quickly to any questions I had. The house is in a lovely location and is very well equipped. Comfortable for 6 people but tight for any more than that. Lots to do in the nearby vicinity. Would highly recommend.

Great place, very well equipped and lots of cutlery, mugs and glasses which really helps when a few of you staying. Nice quiet area at the very top of the bay (so a bit of a walk for anyone that may struggle) with a nice grassed area shared by other residents. Would come again
