"Overall the front desk staff was great. The roof top staff however was horrible. Rude and not helpful. From a japanese chain hotel i expected better customer service. Felt like young staff that don’t care about their job."

"It was in a great location, being across the mall made such a big difference to other places, also 5min walk to either bus or train stations. Great place to stay, if ever go back, would stay here again."

"This is Barcelona, so prices are super high. This said, SmartRooms is nicely located in a barrio that is still inhabited by locals and very well connected to the main attractions with public transport or by walking. My room was super clean and kept like that during my stay. All the common areas were also very clean. Staff was helpful and kind."

"House keeping was not good at all. Room was supposed to be supplied with shampoo, body wash, conditioner. We entered the room with only empty bottles of each. We had to call numerous times to get these supplies refilled/replaced. The room itself was covered in dust bunnies and had orange stains everywhere."

"Excellent location for travelling to Barcelona center as it was right next to metro station. My daughter enjoyed the roof top bar while the indoor jacuzzi was relaxing place after spending all day exploring Barcelona. The room was good size for 3 of us. The weird thing was their odd window and lack of privacy in shower."

"Really beautiful modern hotel. Decor was welcoming and front desk, restaurant and bar staff were helpful. Enjoyed the hot breakfast options and the cool ambiance of this hotel. We did have an issue w/ the first room at the very start and had to switch rooms on the first day. There was a leak in the bathroom of the first room. But I will say that the staff made every effort to help make it right and we received a new room after our return for the day. They even left us a really nice note with apologies for any inconvenience AND a basket with some snacks and soft drinks for our new room. Any early check in charge was also refunded to me for this inconvenience. "
