Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well organised. Follow these top travel tips that will help get your Juti escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be easy if you carry the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare set of clothes and something to read. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of an aircraft are not the place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and don't forget to bring a sweater as it can get chilly in the cabin. Flat, enclosed shoes are always a good choice too.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of sitting. There's lots you can do to minimize your risk. Wear a pair of compression socks or tights, drink lots of water and keep your legs and feet moving. Wander around the cabin or try out some exercises in your seat.
