Our fist experience was the cute Victorian lift which just held 3 people but worked perfectly throughout out stay. working on reception was the most helpful man presumed to be the owner he went to great lengths to mark out a map of where we were, and the walking distance to all the main attractions of the city. Our room was delightful overlooking a large courtyard planted with trees and shrubs. The double glazed windows had shutters to insulate the room and provide a dark room at night. Our spacious room contained a very large double bed, sink ,fridge ,coffee and tea making facilities with a basket containing croissants butter and jam enough for a modest breakfast .Plenty of room with high ceiling with a built in fan, ample plugs and sockets.Outside our room there was a large fridge freezer and a microwave for our use.only a couple of yards away from a shower bathroom .Sharing was never a problem.
when you step out of the hotel into the street, you are only 100 yards from the magnificent cathedral and opposite a friendly reasonably priced restaurant with excellent service and local recipe food.
The staff were ,more than helpful lending us crockery ,booking coach tours ,great room service
