The receptionist staff were friendly and very helpful with the best local recommendations. The location was perfect so close to the Academia and wonderful local stops. The breakfast was top notch with a large variety and considerations. What a wonderful place and can’t wait to visit again!

The property is beautifully maintained, blending historic charm with modern comfort, and the atmosphere is consistently peaceful and welcoming. What truly sets Orto di Medici apart is the staff — warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making every stay exceptional. They remember returning guests, greet you with kindness, and always go above and beyond with thoughtful service. After so many years, I can say with confidence that this hotel remains one of Florence’s true gems.

I can’t say enough good things about Hotel Orto de Medici. The location cannot be beat. Close to everything and in a nice neighborhood. The room was spacious, modern, unique and clean. The staff - from the front desk, to the breakfast room, to the bartender- were all extraordinary. Gracious, helpful, kind and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and the covered terrace overlooking the garden was peaceful and charming. The public spaces were modern, clean, comfortable and attractive. It was a lovely oasis at the end of a long trip.

This is great location near the train terminal. Rooms are smaller than US STD rooms, but has all amenities need it. Our room included snacks and drinks every day. Welcome drinks and good exercise room.

Beautiful property. The best hotel we stayed in during our 4 city vacation to Italy. Both the bedroom and bathroom were large, a separate area for our 4 large suitcases, plenty of electrical outlets and, most importantly, amazingly cold air conditioning that felt wonderful after 100+F days in the Tuscan sun. Breakfast was good and the staff was helpful and very pleasant. By far, our favorite hotel in Italy!

good wifi, breakfast items limited no variety staff are not helpful at the front desk however, the staff at the breakfast area are really nice and helpful overall, this is not a 4 star hotel, it’s more likely a 3 star hotel with a price tag if 4 star hotel We find that it’s the pattern in Rome, Florence and Italy

The junior suite was the perfect size for our family of four, and the walk-in closet was a huge bonus. Breakfast was included and offered plenty of options, with good-quality food. We booked the airport pickup through the company recommended by the hotel, but found it significantly more expensive than other options. For our return trip to the airport, we pre-booked an Uber Van, which was more economical. We’d stay here again!
