Oceanfront Home on Folly Beach, SC

Folly is a casual resort beach with a world-class fishing pier and miles of beautiful oceanfront perfect for sunning, shelling and splashing in the water. Downtown's Center Street is quaint, pedestrian-friendly and features a variety of shopping and dining options.

Our comfortably-furnished home offers an open floor plan, beautiful antiques, hardwood floors, tiled kitchen and bathrooms and a glorious ocean view. The kitchen is fully-equipped and filled with light from both windows and skylights. The dining table seats 8 with 4 nearby barstools and additional seating at a picnic table on the beachfront screened porch. The screened porch opens onto a walkover and deck with private beach access.

Flooded with sunlight from a bank of oceanfront windows and skylights, the large living room with queen sleeper sofa, vaulted ceiling and wifi/cable-equipped entertainment center is perfect for family gatherings.

Great stay

We had a great week. The house is welcoming and warm. We spent loads of time in the screened in room and walking to/from the beach. Kids loved the easy accessibility of the beach and the beach toys, kite etc. kept everybody entertained. You are far enough to avoid the noise of the main drag of Folly but still close enough to enjoy all of its benefits. Hope to stay again soon.

Best time ever!

We all enjoyed our time at Folly and being in the most perfect beach house! The weather was perfect - just a little rain! We loved soaking up the sun on the deck and on the beach. We will be back for the most spectacular views and the comfortable house. Loved it!

Best Vacation!

From the day we rented the house I knew this was going to be a crazy great vacation experience! Our hosts were amazing - GREAT communication. The home was spotless. We had such great relaxation time in this perfect beach house - just like the ones I visited as a kid - with many updates! We loved having a short walk back to the house from the beach! One of my top favorite trips - we are already planning our return!

Perfect Beach House!

Our second summer staying here and we plan to keep on coming back! Absolute perfect location on the beach and the home is fully stocked with anything we could possibly need. The owners are the most delightful, kind and accommodating folks and we so truly enjoy seeing them and getting to chat for a while when we check in. Just an overall wonderful experience all around. Idyllic

We stayed for 8 amazing days and wished we never had to leave. We had 3 friends with us for the first couple of days and then just my husband and myself. The house was perfect for all of us. The outside showers were a great bonus, helping keeping the sand and heat out of the house. The kitchen and linens were all well stocked and we really wanted for nothing during our stay. Hosts are so charming and welcoming.

Great Beach House Getaway!

Perfect house for a beach holiday! Plenty of room for our 4 adults and 2 young children, with fully equipped kitchen, high capacity washer/dryer to keep up with beach towels and swimsuits, plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards and toys! Private beach access and close to FB shops/restaurants, but far enough away to be nice and quiet at night!!

We had a great stay for my son’s birthday celebration. The home is in an excellent location right on Folly Beach not too far from the new Pier. We had all the comforts of home and the outdoor showers we’re a plus!

Excellent choice.

Great location. Kitchen needs a pantry, and the mattress in the bedrooms need updating, but a lovely place overall. The property was clean and well-maintained overall, and all of the attractions are nearby while being out of the crowds. I recommend this house as a very good choice for a relaxing family vacation.

Folly rental

Eleanor’s beach rental was just perfect for our family of 5. The house was clean and stocked with everything you may need, and some. The location of the house was 1 mile from downtown folly and you can pretty much ride your bike anywhere, which we loved!

Ocean delight!

Second year and already a tradition for our family, accessibility to the beach is huge and the house has such a comfortable, easy layout perfect for meals at home and evenings relaxing on the couches and reflecting on the day. Great array of sand toys for the kids and kitchen tools for adults so you walk in and feel right at home. Two bathrooms are a major plus. We can't wait to return!

Outstanding in every way! The house was spotless and so well appointed. The beds were really comfortable with high quality bedding. There were extra towels, toilet paper, paper towels, and other necessities that most rentals do not provide. The kitchen had everything we needed to make all of our meals at the house and everything was in excellent condition. Eleanor is an amazing, attentive, and generous host who made us feel truly welcome and supported me through some health concerns. The views are absolutely stunning and the beach was gorgeous and peaceful. I honestly can’t think of anything that was missing. We already booked our vacation there for next year and we can’t wait!

We Love Folly Beach

This was our third family trip to Folly Beach. Previously, we stayed in condos. This ocean cottage was our favorite. We loved the location, privacy, and the ocean right out the back door! Cottage was lovely and Eleanor was super attentive. Cottage had everything we needed! Only one suggestion: to consider—updating living room sofas and single bed a bit small. Fantastic property! We hope to return. Thank you!!!!

Family Time

Eleanor’s property was AMAZING! The property is very well thought out with the right amenities. Parking was plentiful and easy to navigate. This was one of the easiest homes to check-in / checkout. Eleanor was extremely communicative and prompt with all correspondences. Overall, this home is very cozy and full of charm. It’s the quintessential beach home. Tons of windows with natural light. Direct access to the beach was wonderful. I would absolutely stay here again!

Great beach house

Loved it! Just what we were looking for in a beach rental. . This house had everything we needed including a bucket of sand toys for the grandkids. It’s located right on the beach , which is hard to find these days. The kitchen was totally equipped down to Tupperware for leftovers. Eleanor was a delight and very attentive and helpful. I guess my only complaint would be the mattresses could use a little “fluffing”. But , everything else was perfect.

Expected better .

The location was nice and views of the beach were awesome . On the other hand , the house is very outdated and is in need of renovations. Also the bedrooms could use televisions. It’s not a place that we would recommend to our friends. The kitchen table is crazy old and chairs not very sturdy . The place could be really something special with not a whole lot of money put into it . We expected nicer .

Loved this property

We have been renting on Folly for 7 years and we have finally found the perfect place. This house was really a home...full of sweet antique furniture, cozy couches and an updated kitchen. Eleanor was quick to answer questions and was in communication during our visit. We had two families of 3 and it never felt crowded. We were on a quiet part of the island and rented a golf cart for easy access to town. The kitchen was well stocked, bedrooms were comfortable, and the outdoor spaces were the best. We used the screened in porch for when it was too hot, a mid deck space for when it was too windy on the beach, and easy access to the ocean our the walkway and over a small dune. We loved it! Thank you!

Clean, perfect location

This property was right on the beach allowing you to easily enjoy beautiful sunrises, beach time and relaxation. We felt safe and property was well furnished and clean. Started items like dish soap, laundry soap and garbage bags were available. Also items like aluminum foil, ziplock bags and paper towel were in kitchen for our use (possibly from last few visitors, not necessarily standard). Beds were comfortable, sheets and blankets were clean and smelled nice. Dishwasher was available but took a long time to run. Plenty of pots and pans, strainer, plates, etc to cook meals but pier and downtown Folly was 1 mile, making for a nice walk on the beach to get to breakfast at Lost Dog or dinner at any of the restaurants downtown. Parking was hard downtown so we liked that we had the walking option. Eleanor was also super responsive to questions we had before and during our trip. Would have liked the bunks in the one room to be more comfortable. One shower can be difficult with a number of people but having the extra toilet to use helped a lot.

Beach lovers

Although the three of us live on an is!and in Georgia, we enjoy a get away to other beaches! Folly is perfect since only about 3 hour drive for us. The house was the perfect accommodation for my husband, sister in law and me. Kitchen was well equipped and location spectacular. We only left the house three times in five days. The screen porch with ocean view and breeze was perfect for reading, playing games and and visiting.

We love this place!

We love this house! Great location! Awesome view to enjoy whether you are inside or out on the porch/deck. Perfect for our family to easily enjoy and to drift in and out to the beach.

Wonderful house and location

We had a great trip. The location of the house cannot be beat. Right on the beach and close to the shops and restaurants. The house is very well maintained and has everything we needed. We will definitely be back!
