Our stay at the Rio Masquerade Tower had both highlights and areas for improvement. On the positive side, the staff we encountered were very friendly, the bed was extremely comfortable, the room was spacious with a beautiful view, and the hotel itself offers some excellent features. Free parking is a big plus, the location is convenient, the pool area is clean and inviting, and there are plenty of dining options on site. That said, the room showed significant signs of wear. The carpet was dirty, the décor was dated, and one of the lampshades stood out in the worst way—it was stained, mismatched from the others, didn’t fit the fixture properly, and sat tilted and crooked, which looked terrible. The in-room safe clicked all night without working, there was no fan in the bathroom, and no complimentary water provided (a disappointment in the Vegas summer heat). To make matters worse, the vending machines were out of bottled water. An odd touch was a tacky picture covering a shower window, which felt out of place. Checking in and out was also inconvenient, as the process was entirely through kiosks with no staff available to assist, leaving us to figure it out ourselves. Overall, while the Rio offers friendly staff, a comfortable stay, and enjoyable amenities like the pool and restaurants, the rooms could benefit from a refresh and better attention to detail to truly match the quality of the rest of the property.

The pool area is amazing and pool staff was awesome. However, our room was BAD. We had the one bedroom panoramic suite which sounded amazing, but was not. Very dated and didn't smell good. The view WOULD have been great if you could actually see it through the filthy windows. Many of the lights didn't work and neither did the phones. Carpet was stained, as was the pull out sofa bed. The bathroom was a high point, very clean and bright with a nice soaking tub and separate shower. Overall, would not recommend.

Great place in the middle of everything

Had a wonderful time, staff and service were amazing

We came out to Vegas from San Diego to attend and race in the USA BMX Vegas National. At first, my family and I were worried that the facility would not be up to standards like it was when we attended the same race at South Point. Although it's not nearly as large as South Point, we had a great time. The thing I loved the most were the valet staff because they were SO insanely friendly, the house cleaners who made our rooms so nice and clean, and the second thing we loved about the casino was how mellow the vibe was. I like that it was mostly a locals casino making it less busy and smokey. The ONLY problem we experienced was at the Japanese restaurant where we uncounted some raw chicken, but the manager came over and took care of us right away. Overall, we had a great stay and will be back when we have another BMX race.
