The front bedroom is a King suite, designed for comfort and relaxing. This room enjoys a northern and eastern view of the neighborhood and is the largest room in the house. The back bedroom boasts a king size bunkbed, designed for kids of all ages and sizes. The front room is the perfect spot for working remotely, as the bright windows and beach breeze will keep you relaxed as you churn out those emails and stay productive while wearing your bathing suit. The large living room provides plenty of space for everyone to hang out, with a huge couch and TV that is ready to stream your favorite shows and movies.
The TV’s are Roku TV’s and you can log in to your favorite streaming platforms to pick up where you left off. We also provide Alexa’s in the Echo Show 8, that allows you to stream almost any song from Amazon Music. You can also use Alexa to find out more about the Island, or the local area. The Echo is also quite good at giving weather forecasts to plan your beach days.

Booking at the Island casita lets you park your car for the duration of your stay. You can walk to local shops, and grocery spots; carry out or dine in at the multiple restaurants in Deerfield Beach. Just park your car, and enjoy.

The Island amenities include, a relaxing hot tub to unwind and recharge. A cozy clubhouse where you can use laundry service, exercise equipment, enjoy board games, an ice machine to keep your beverages fresh or fill the cooler for a day at the beach, and work stations for your convenience. Additionally, we have a selection of beach items for your enjoyment, located by the beach Box on the west side as you exit the garden.
Feel free to harvest the seasonal edible fruits, herbs and veggies growing in the garden for your consumption while at The Island. Avocados, Mangos, Papayas, Bananas, and other delicious natural treats can be picked and enjoyed by guests during their stay. As you walk the property, keep an eye out for all types of herbs that can be added to your dinner; freshly picked by you for a touch of culinary magic! please only harvest what you will consume so that others can enjoy as well. We sometimes have activities, classes and/or workshops taking place in the back graden area. Our guests are welcome to participate if space is available at a discount entry fee.
Your Casita comes equipped with a rich history and origin story. The Deerfield 
Beach Historical Society noted that the property was built in the 1940’s for the Army Corp of Engineers to live in, while they constructed the Intercostal waterway (just a block away if you want to take a stroll or score a great fishing spot). Having only 3 owners since then, the property has been updated to provide modern conveniences, while maintaining some historical elements that point to the golden years of our nation’s development. When you book at the casita you will enjoy the updated elements, while being reminded of the rich history and role that this home played in the building and construction of the intercostal waterway. Since it was sold by the government, only Deerfield Beach Residents have owned or lived in this property. We are locals, and want you to enjoy the local experience as well.

The Island Casita is one of the 5 units on this property. This is the largest one, but others can be booked by groups for family reunions, retreats, group vacations, and more.
