The house was incredibly clean and, despite being in a busy area, it stayed surprisingly quiet even on a Saturday night. Communication from the owner was excellent — we received numerous emails checking in to see if we needed anything, which was appreciated. We also liked that someone handled putting the trash bins out and bringing them back in. The house rules were clearly explained and respectful of the surrounding neighborhood, which I appreciated as someone familiar with the local housing situation. That said, there were a few things that kept the experience from feeling truly “high end.” There were no tissues provided, no ice cube trays, and no basic cable or free TV channels available. The tap water had a slight yellow tinge, so a filtered water pitcher would have been a nice touch. While the home included plenty of items, many of the dishes, cookware, appliances, and extras felt more basic than expected for the price point. There also was not nearly enough flatware, so we found ourselves constantly rewashing utensils. One thing future guests should know is that there are cameras at both the front and rear of the house. While understandable for security, it did make us somewhat aware of our comings and goings something privacy-conscious guests will want to note. Overall, a clean and well-managed stay with a few amenities and quality details that could be improved.
