"We had the most wonderful stay in Katie's Cottage. We met the lovely host Caroline on arrival and we couldn't have gotten a warmer welcome. There was fresh scones with jam and butter and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The house was absolutely immaculate with loads of fresh towels and bed linen. The beds were really comfy and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. The surrounding area is stunning and the cottage was a great base to explore all of this. Knockranny House Hotel and Spa

10/10 Excellent

"Very nice stay at Knockranny House, the Grande Deluxe Room Room we booked was huge, quiet and very comfortable. Great location, only a short walk from Westport town and gorgeous views over the town and Croagh Patrick. Lovely pool and sauna/ steam room to use during the stay"

Great National Hotel Ballina

10/10 Excellent

"A very pleasant hotel. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The pool, sauna and steam room were a great bonus and actually worked really well. There weren’t many people using them, so it was nice and relaxing. Dinner was reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily come back."

Ashville Guesthouse

10/10 Excellent

"I cannot rate our stay at Ashville Guesthouse enough. Oliver and Hilary really made us welcome and we're very friendly, knowledgeable of local things to see and do and really wanted us to enjoy our stay. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The breakfast was cooked to order, really tasty and plentiful. There was plenty of parking and the hotel was a close to Wesport Town. Unfortunately, our hire car was faulty and had to be replaced on the morning of check out. Hilary and Oliver were so kind inviting us in for coffee, cake and a chat until our replacement car arrived. I will most definitely stay with them again when next in beautiful Mayo and would recommend it to anyone doing the same"

Breaffy House Hotel

8/10 Good

"Really pretty hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable (signature room 311 on 3rd floor. It had a nice seating area in a turret. Breakfast was quite good with lots of options. We only ate dinner in the bar not the fancy restaurant and the food was okay though a bit salty. we felt service was a bit haughty which was unexpected as everyone on our trip has been so welcoming. Maybe they just don't like Americans here as the front desk staff was dismissive on separate occasions. Even so, I would stay again."
