This apartment is worth every penny! The staff were so welcoming and helped when we couldn't figure out how to drive to the apartment. We were welcomed when we arrived and they were so nice. The location is ideal. You can walk to many restaurants nearby and it's right in the center of a pedestrain area. The apartment was clean and adorable. Staff were always available if you had any questions and were so helpful. Would 10/10 stay here again and would recommend it to anyone!

A Fabulous Place to Stay!

What a beautiful apartment, we couldn't have been happier! This lovely one bedroom was tastefully furnished will all that we could need. It is very centrally located and such a great place to stay. I highly recommend it - would stay again in a heartbeat!

This is a beautiful apartment in a great location. It is lovely and spacious. The staff were really helpful and it was great to book the transfer from the airport through them. The aircon unit outside the bedroom can be a bit of a noise if you are a light sleeper, but other than that it was fantastic thanks

I liked the place was great clean , quiet the entrance is down an ally with a restaurant which is fine but once restaurant closes it is very dark . I would stay there again . Ordering a car service if you have 4 pp better price than bus service and more personable

Right in the center of Funchal. Great restaurants within reach. Cosy bars for a coffee (order a pastel de nata with it!) at every corner. Perfect starting point for exploring Madeira. Convenient and affordable parking nearby. Hosts are very helpful - they’ve send us to Great restaurants. Comfortably, neat accommodation - everything you need is there, but you’ll probably be strolling around Madeira a lot. The island is a delight!

Excellent property in the heart of old town. Everything was so close by. Parking was difficult. We were on 1st floor, and without elevator had some difficulty in carrying our luggage (which I guess is normal in Europe). Highly recommended

The apartment was well-appointed. I was surprised that some of the finishes/furniture seemed more upscale than is typical for a rental! It is stylish, very well maintained and comfortable. And, they are super responsive so check in was easy as requesting a restock mid week. Do not hesitate!

Wonderful apartment

The apartment is wonderful, exactly like the photos, and perfectly located in the centre of Funchal. As it was so accessible we travelled by bus from the airport, only about 6 minutes walk from the bus stop. Great communication from Alex who met us at the apartment on arrival. Apartment is very spacious and extremely clean. Also very quiet despite being in the centre of the town. Very good value compared to the hotels (many of which are well away from the town centre in the more touristy part of Funchal). Funchal was lovely and a great base for exploring - the mountain hiking and levada trails are unmissable. Would love to stay here again.

Lovely studio in great location

My husband and I stayed in no.2 the Studio, it was a lovely, well equipped, comfortable and nicely decorated apartment. It also had a lots of storage. The added bonus was the terrace and although it has no view, except of neighbouring buildings, the lounging furniture was very comfortable, which is unusual in a lot of rentals. Good communication from the very professional, friendly staff at Heart of Funchal. Will definitely return

The host Alex is amazing. The entire apartment is well decorated and well prepared for our stay with free tea, coffee, olive oil, welcome cookies, and fresh flowers. The kitchen appliances have everything you need. She also sent us information and recommendations which save us search time. The neighborhood is safe and walkable. She allows us to check in earlier, when our apartment was ready. So, we have a place to keep our luggage after we check out from the other hotel in the morning. I definitely will stay here again.

Premium Experience

Premium Experience. It’s rare that accommodations are one of the highlights of your stay but this proves the exception. The achievement for the total guest experience starts with the hosts engagement. The staff here connected earlier on, set elevated expectations, present at my checkin and responsive to all my questions and requests. Stellar performance!!!! Accommodation met all the upper criteria of excellence. Location is superb for these reasons: close to all local activities yet quiet, safe and away from the crowds at night. The unit is spacious and clean and the beds are very comfortable. This experience was so well done and should easily be the choice of anyone staying in Funchal. My thanks to all for a welcoming staff and quality accommodation.

Great apartment with outdoor terrace

We stayed in this apartment for the second half of our stay. Apartment is right in the centre of Funchal, a perfect base for exploring the city. It was a very well designed space with a large outdoor terrace and seating area, everything we needed for our 4 nights. We used the Lido times while here to relax during the day, just jump on the Number 1,2 bus from GPD for €2, cash only. Breakfast was taken at 4 different small places for about €10 for 2 people. Filipa provided us with great suggestions on things to do and also arranged our transfer back to the airport for €28, cheaper than a Taxi and great service at 0400 in the morning. We did use the Bolt App a couple of times, very similar to Uber, this allows you to book a Bolt or Taxi and pick up from your location, really good value as well.

Great place, host and such a beautiful town. Parking near the place is a bit of a challenge, but there is a 24 hr parking garage 10 min walk from the place, which is a bit harder when you have luggage.

The location is as perfect as it gets for Funchal. The property owners are very communicative and met us with short notice outside the apartment to let us in and show us around. Gave loads of useful info also. The apartment is very very clean and full of character, absolutely stunning and a very welcoming place to come back to after a few Ponchas in town
