It was nice experience, staffs were good, food was nice although we prefer vegetarian or chicken only food. I arrived early and they allow to checkin at 13:00 as I had kid. Found few staffs from Nepal and Pakistan and they helped me.

Great place stay , loved it.

Well located approx 1 mile stroll from Funchal centre . The area has plenty of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The lido and sea access are 100 yards away. Hotel Pool was fab a great spot to unwind . The room was great, luckily we had a sea view too and we were given complimentary wine and fruit which was a very notable and welcomed bonus. Special mention to Vanessa at reception , what a great girl. Thanks Muthu Raga we loved our stay.

It's a bit basic and a bit tired, but fine for a few days. Don't try to relax on a Thursday near the pool, that's when they do maintenance and prepare dinner there. My room was big and clean. Breakfast is basic but good enough

It is very well located with a lot of dining shopping options within walking distance… if you don’t mind walking up and down hills. Parking on site is very limited and parking on the street is also limited, but doable. The appearance of the hotel is older, but it’s well maintained. Comfortable beds. What I enjoy the most was the buffet breakfast: great options and delicious. I also liked the pool and shaded patio area

Lovely short stay in very good hotel

Lovely hotel in excellent location. Very friendly and proficient staff. Very good value. Views over the Lido area of Funchal and the Atlantic amazing. Room spotlessly clean although a little dated. Could have done with a kettle.

The staff is not friendly. They will not answer the phone when you dial 9. You have to come down to talk to them. The bathroom had a weird small that never could be addressed. If you have any issues with A/C, there is no one to attend to it after 5:00 P.M. No drinking water in the room. I am used to hotels providing a jug of water in every room that is unheard of here. Bring you own toiletries. I had to rush and buy shampoo and conditioner. Pros: Good breakfast options. Very close to the park where you can enjoy the ocean. Lots of restaurants near by. Very centrally located.

I am sorry to say, but it was not a good experience. Good location and positive, friendly staff was not even close to compensate appaling room and bathroom. Entering the room i was hit by a heavy disinfectant/cleaning solution smell, that took couple hours of open windows to get rid off. The smell of damp from the bathroom could not be fixed though. Apart from the smell, bathroom was simply dirty, most surfaces showing smudges, and dust and hair in the more difficult to reach corners. Everything seemed a bit sticky and old, showing different states of ware. Breakfast, included in the price was mostly tasteless, and thank god for cold cuts that left something edible on the menu. Again, it is a shame, as even though it’s an old hotel, common areas seemed well maintained, staff was approachable and helpful, and the location suited me very well (easy to get from the airport, close to activities , restaurants, etc.).

Quite surprised and disappointed with the limitations of this hotel, considering it marks itself as a 4*, you have only buffet style meals available, at a high price for the quality, minimal food available in the hotel through the day, even packet coffee and tea for the room is additional cost!! I’ve worked and stayed in many 4* hotels and never heard of this!!

Everything was good as i stayed there a few times over the years, but my only complaint is the swimming pool, as i used to work as a life guard years ago at the madeira regency club, the pool looks like theres not much care for. It is all yellow at the bottom around the corners and also around the top of the swimming pool.
