Good hotel overall. Note there is no air conditioning. They have ceiling fans. The property has older aged look/decor but other than that its clean and tidy, very friendly staff, good food included.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. However, with the temperatures being around 29c we found that the ceiling fan was not enough to keep the room cool. We tried sleeping with the balcony doors open but the traffic noise kept us awake as well. We were given another room which was a little better. Bathroom & Kitchen areas need refurbishing, our bathroom was very dirty in places. If you want hot food in the evenings then book the A la Carte restaurant. Restaurant & bar staff were very friendly and helpful. A good location, with 2 small supermarkets down the road but Funchal centre was too far to walk both ways.

Great holiday accommodation

The hotel grounds, pool etc are excellent along with all the staff, always smiling, happy and helpful. The food was good apart from the Italian night which didn't appear to have a lot of Italian food. The rooms are clean and spacious but are in need of an update along with the bathrooms imo. Complimentary shampoo/conditioner would be nice along with bottled water. Not enough electrical sockets. Overall a nice hotel and would certainly stay again ☺️

This place had a "nursing home" feel to it. In fact my wife joked she was going to "check me in". I didn't know but apparently Madeira Island has always been an old people place. This was also much different because I thought it was a small boutique place, it is a HUGE place, a corporate place with two hotels joined in the middle

Nice hotel with decent facilities, but the wi-fi in my room was awful - couldn't work or make calls using it at all (though it was better in the public areas). Also I found the breakfast buffet rather disappointing, with very little to mark it as Madeiran.

Geräumiges Zimmer, allerdings ist die Ausstattung doch in die Jahre gekommen. Wir hatten HP. Das Essen war wie immer gut und vielseitig. Das Hotel liegt fußläufig günstig zu Funchal und zum Panoramaweg am Meer. Das gesamte Personal ist supernett, die Kellnerinnen und Kellner sehr aufmerksam.

Détente dans un endroit magnifique

6 jours de détente dans un endroit magnifique. Les buffets sont exceptionnels et vous avez même le choix de diner à la carte dans les autres restaurants. Reste à mentionner la gentillesse du personnel et l'animation musicale chaque soir. Une rénovation des SDB dans les chambres est prévu prochainement et est nécessaire car ne répond plus aux normes. Nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Es war ein fantastischer Aufenthalt in einer traumhaften Anlage. Super freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal. Sehr gute Lage, in 30 Minuten Spaziergang ins Zentrum. Einfach alles gut. Schöne Gartenanlage. Es hat einfach rundum alles gepasst. Sehr zu empfehlen

Schöne Garten- und Poolanlage, alles sehr gepflegt. Nette Restaurants a la carte. Besonders das Adega Restaurant war ausgezeichnet. Das Buffet allerdings konnte nicht wirklich überzeugen. Frühstück war super, aber zum Abendessen war die Auswahl nur ok und der Geschmack etwas fade. Gewürze haben definitiv gefehlt. Der Nachtisch war gut auch wenn eine Eiskarte fehlte.
