"A great apartment on the edge of the old town. Fab views of the sea and of the local area - great for people watching. Good size living / kitchen area with well appointed cooking area. Full sized fridge freezer which is always a bonus. Bedroom at the back with a small rooflight window - no aircon - but a decent fan in both areas. Walk in bathroom/ shower was without a window and limited mechanical extraction - so had a v damp smell - a design fault - but had to keep that door closed. But the...

We would definitely come back, even though the neighbor's dog likes to make his presence known. But that's not a fault of the accommodation."

"Very nice, spacious and comfortable house, well equipped, with a wonderful garden and a stunning view over the city and the bay. The access to the property is a bid complicated. Don't enter the dead end road which leaves to the principal entry. It is extremely steep and narrow. Ask for the alternative parking spot around the block (but still near to the house)."

"Enjoyed our stay very much. The property is quiet, fully equipped and clean. And has a great view over Funchal and the ocean !!! The host was very helpfull and easy to reach over Whatsapp or phone ! Not that close to the bigger supermarkets. Shopping can be quite exhausting due to the steep streets."
