Il Molinaccio is a unique holiday home in the heart of Chianti, with a rich history that stretches back to the Middle Ages. Originally a fortified watchtower, it was later converted into a country residence. The careful restoration has preserved many original features, including exterior walls that are over one metre thick in places. Today, the house offers rustic charm combined with modern comforts, making it ideal for a large family or group of friends.



Surrounded by woodland, the villa is just 3 km from Gaiole in Chianti. Guests can easily explore the region’s famous wineries, castles, and charming towns. Siena, San Gimignano, Florence and Arezzo are all within reach for a day trip, and the renowned Castello di Broli - whose owners once owned Il Molinaccio - is just 15 minutes away by car.

Set in a peaceful rural location, the villa is ideal for those who want to relax and unwind. Gaiole offers a selection of restaurants, shops, and a small supermarket. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking, wine tasting, and enjoying the scenic Chianti landscape.



The property includes two large covered terraces, one adjacent to the house and another by the private pool, creating atmospheric spaces for outdoor dining. The extensive garden is crossed by a small stream and features a play area, sauna, table tennis and table football - perfect for guests of all ages.



Inside, the villa is furnished in a classic Tuscan style, with high beamed ceilings, vaulted arches, and terracotta floors. A cosy living area with open fireplace and generous sofas invites guests to unwind, while a small library with billiard table offers quiet entertainment.



The current owners live in a separate building on the property. They fully respect the privacy of their guests.
