  • The villa has 3-5 bedrooms and 2-3 bathrooms, depend if you rent for 8 guests or extend to 13 guests.

    If you are more than 8 people you will get additional apartment on the ground floor. Please notify the owner if you want to include the ground floor apartment.

    The house has a beautiful back garden with big patio, jacuzzi and bbq. The kitchen is fully equipped with double fridge and large cooking area and the living and dining areas are very spacious and beautifully furnished

    On the ground floor is a small apartment with it´s own kitchen, bedroom and living room. The villa can be rented with or without the extra apartment. Please note price changes if asking to include the ground floor apartment!

    Private parking in front of the house and to drive to Reykjavik city centre takes about 10 minutes.

    After booking you will receive an email with all check-in information and your booking has to be confirmed by the host

Great Location, Lovely house.

Our group of long-time friends booked this house to spend time together and explore Southwest Iceland. The house was well-appointed and we enjoyed cooking and spending time together in the living areas. Beds were all very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed the house! Rooms were clean and comfortable. The light switches were difficult to find and the front door was a bit difficult to use. But all in all we very much enjoyed our stay.

The house worked out very well for our family. Well located for all we wished to do. Maria did a great job setting up beds to accommodate our additional person. We did not cook any meals as we were gone all day but if one so desired everything was available. As long as you have a car I would highly recommend this property!!

Ideal Property for Our Stay

The house was very spacious and comfortable. Our group numbered 8, and with the additional apartment space downstairs, it was just the right size for us. We prepared most of our meals there -- lunch usually consisted of sandwiches, and dinner was at "home". The kitchen was modern and well equipped, and the dining area was quite spacious. All in all, while it was pricy (everything in Iceland is!), it was a great investment for us. Thanks, Maria!

We had a family group, all adults, 3 generations. The home was beautiful and very well supplied, especially the kitchen, which had everything we needed! The lower level had a. Bedroom with 2 beds together and another , if needed.the attached room/kitchen also had sleeping for 2 (t bed). Upstairs there was a master suite with 2king, beds and 2 other bedrooms, all very ice and comfortable. 3 full bathrooms. We had 12 family members and it worked very well. The patio is wonderful, the dining room seats 12. The living room is also spacious. Maria was wonderful and checked on us to make sure all was going well. She was very helpful and kind. The house is an easy cab ride to the shopping/restaurants . All in all, it was exactly what we were hoping for.

Things to know

- laundry was hard to figure out how to operate and very small size - kitchen was very well stocked to cook for a whole family - there is an apartment that you may need but it is a pretty uncomfortable sofa not really a sofa bed. Not comfortable for adults. - lights are not intuitive to turn on -I had to text the owner to understand. You have to press on the light switches for 10 seconds before they work. - there was a leak in the apartment from the upstairs bath tub apparently (this doesn’t make sense to me but it’s what she said) - this was caused by the hand shower in the tub facing up. It must face down. - only cleanliness issue was a green/ black substance in bath and drains. Not sure. - the water really tastes of sulfur so I would recommend buying bottled water at the grocery store - the grocery store nearby (Haupkof?) was stellar and is a test resource. Like a Target. - overall neighborhood is great and it was perfect for what we needed except the things noted above!
