"Micheal went above and beyond. We were visiting Shasta to attend a retreat. One of the people from the retreat left their purse in our car. They got a hold of Micheal through VRBO to get a hold of us. Micheal was kind enough to text us a message and then checked in making sure we got. Our friend was so thankful and so we were. He is truly kind and we had the extra bonus of meeting his sweet dog Clyde. It was a wonderful experience and I truly would recommend this place. It is peaceful, quiet, clean, charming and spacious. The surrounding views are breath taking and the property is kept us beautifully."

"Beautiful little cottage in a very convenient location. It was well illuminated at night and so easy to spot. Stocked with tons of amenities like toiletries and all the kitchen utensils and spices. The fridge/freezer even had an ice maker! Host was welcoming and let us know of the possibility of power-loss due to the Oregon fires (never lost power!) and pointed out some lanterns and flashlights that were provided just in case. The ONLY thing we didn’t enjoy were the trains nearby which are required to sound their horns while passing through intersections, but this is no fault of the host and would be heard from any place in town, I’m sure. Barely notice them during the day, but i would recommend bringing some soft foam earplugs with you for some undisturbed sleep at night. All in all, a wonderful stay and I would absolutely recommend this gem of a rental to anyone looking to stay in the Mt. Shasta City area."

"Basecamp lodge is a beautiful property slightly away from the main Mount Shasta town. The property is clean and you get "the freshest water in the USA" in the tap. The beds are big (we had a king bed) and very comfortable. You have beautiful Mount Shasta views from the property and it's close to all the hikes, waterfalls and lakes you want to visit."
