"Went to shoot a ATA trapshooting event (Heartland Grand) about 20 min away in Ackley, IA. Place was comfortable and the people were great. Everything you needed was right around the corner from getting provisions to dinner out with multiple choices, fast food to a sit-down home cooked meal. Room had a little kitchette with a fridge, sink and a 2 burner stove top, along with a microwave, so cooking some eggs and bacon wasn't out of the question! I think Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei (My Cousin Vinny) stayed in this Motel for 1 night? :)"

"There were 12 of us for our family weekend and not once did we feel cramped or on top of each other. All the couples had their own rooms and bathrooms as did the single kids. The house and property was beautiful and meticulously maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials and there were plenty of towels in all bathrooms along with large bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Donnis was very communicative and would reply quickly. Another perk was that it was dog friendly on the main level of the home and they were accommodating to us bringing three dogs. We look forward to coming back with the family again in the future. It was the perfect place for us to all gather!"

"The property was very clean, quite and convient. Our only real issue and this does not relate to the property was poor Verizon mobile phone service in either Iowa Falls or Alden. However, the Wi-fi in the VRBO made everything OK. We would stay again. Alden was a nice quite, clean town. We enjoyed walking the river area. We would or will stay in the future. Host was very responsive. Parking was good."

"Very nice stay, lovely owner was so helpful...but I do want to mention....as a senior, only 5' tall...some cabinets were to high to reach, but luckily I did not need them. Also there are a few step ups to a couple rooms...but again...they did not bother me...My stay was nice & enjoyable, and I was able to accomplish my itinerary in those few days."
