There were lights shining into the room all night. There was a live band playing across the road till midnight. Lots of noise from people and cars in the street below on and off till 3 in the morning shame about the noise because the room was nice

Tucked away beside the assembly hall, this is a fantastic location, rooms were spotless, with a comfortable bed and fresh quality linen and towels, there's also use of a kitchen, it's self check in which was effortless, so handy if you're arriving late. Points to note, there's stairs to the room (2 flights) as you're on the high street near the pubs and monument there is noise at night, as you'd expect from the location.

Fantastic high street hotel
We had an amazing stay, we love Glastonbury town, it was fantastic to be able to look out of the window onto the high street, we were in Tufted room. The room was large & the communal kitchen was useful. I would love to stay here again.

I highly recommend a stay at the 8 owls. Rooms are very clean and cosy, and the property is situated right in heart of the high street making it the ideal place to stay if you plan on doing some shopping.

The only thing that needs a comment is regarding breakfast which is served very locally at the Crown hotel. The allowance barely covers the cost of breakfast, meaning that if you want tea or coffee then you have to pay extra. The arrangement itself is fine, its just the value of the allowance should at least cover 'breakfast'.

Perfect for our little family birthday celebration. Right on Glastonbury High Street so everything on the doorstep. Brilliantly stocked kitchen for us to use. Woken by the beautiful aroma of fresh baked bread from the baker nearly next door (fresh pastries with our morning coffee!).

8 Owls Cottage was a perfect place for our family to stay while visiting Glastonbury, comfy, clean, cosy and with a little outdoor patio to sit and relax. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and the living space is well sized for us to all spend time in and for two teenage daughters to sleep in with a really comfy bed for us. Will be back again I'm sure.

The property itself was cute. However it’s right off a small courtyard and the master bedroom has windows right at the courtyard wall. There’s a public hall that holds events and a party was held in the courtyard right outside our window well into the night. People stand right at the window, impossible to sleep, can hear entire conversations. There’s no front desk at all so no human interaction and there’s no convenient parking. We knew about the parking but it’s the location that would turn us off from staying again.

The communication before arrival was very clear, making it easy to find parking / access to the property. The room was well appointed & everything we needed as a base in the middle of the town! The roof terrace was a lovely offering..loved seeing the Tor over the roof tops! We will definitely be back, when we next plan a stay in our favourite town! Can't recommend enough!

Cannot say enough good things about 8 Owls. Adorable and comfortable room. Location is amazing, right off of high street so everything is walkable. Check in process was so easy and we were able to check in. A bit early. The extra touches in the rooms are magic and included breakfast is delicious

Lovely room with a terrace, spacious bathroom and a comfortable bed. The room overlooked the High Street but was still not noisy. A supplied voucher gave us an excellent breakfast in The Crown across the road. Will definitely book this B&B again.

Excellent stay. I spent about five minutes on the high street looking for the entrance. Eventually found it. Maybe in your email you could make a point of describing exactly how to access the property.

The location in town was excellent for my daughter and I as we used public transportation for our entire trip. Around the 8 Owls were cute shops, pubs, a tea room and restaurants. The 8 Owls itself was very well conceived. Each room (I peeked at others) were all generous in size and the conveniences were nice (a shared kitchen) and a refrigerator for everyone to use. The owl theme throughout was tastefully done. I like that we had bottled water and could make tea or coffee in our room. My only suggestion would be ice buckets for the guests to use (I didn't find any). Other than that I would say the place is perfect!

A really nice place..... in the heart of Glastonbury. Excellent communication when booking and on the day, with access details provided. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and enjoyed a beer on the communal roof terrace.

Lacking the personal touch
Mixed feelings about this stay. The cottage was quirky but on arrival was a bit musty as cottages can be. Lack of communication from hotel beforehand meant we weren't prepared for public parking away from the building and having to make numerous journeys to unload and reload car despite mobility issues. Additionally, breakfast vouchers not mentioned in correspondence and looked like business cards on the marketing leaflets area meant that we paid £180per night for 3 nights and still had to pay for breakfast (except on the last morning after questioning the host again over the phone) No meet and greet/welcome just email the day before arrival with key codes. Took negotion even to get an extra towel. Felt a bit like we'd been given hostel style service despite paying much more than hostel prices. Having the only outside seating facing straight into the lounge was quite unnerving, so much so that the blinds stayed down most of the time rather than be the entertainment felt like we were in a goldfish bowl. Shame really as it tainted the experience. Would have been much nicer if there had been human welcome and clearer communication.
Not very relaxing for cottage residents when everyone looked into windows and faced into your private space. I'm sure easily resolved with a bit of thought from hosts but it tainted our experience.

This is the third time i have stayed at the 8 owls and will definitely be back again. The beds are so comfortable! The only complaint i would have is the bathroom doors are a bit loud to open and close and could do with some hooks to hang either towels or coats on.

Nice little set up in the centre of town
Suite of bnb rooms that are self service. Room was a decent size, shower, bath and large comfy bed. Small kitchen if you need to use it. Nice little terrace to sit out on with a view of the tor. Access is managed via e mail but easy to navigate, we didn't meet the host but our friends met someone we think was the host and said they were friendly. Location is great, close to all amenities. Breakfast has been arranged with the Crown Hotel so you get a voucher and have to go acrid the road for it. Service at the hotel is great, food was lovely with a good range of veggie foods. Overall a neat little set up and great value.

The room and bathroom were very clean, the beds were good and the overall property was great. Being on the high street, it does get noisy in the evenings so not so good for light sleepers. The value of the breakfast vouchers should be made higher so that it covers the full cost of a meal and a drink, we had to pay an additional amount for every meal we had.
