"Our experience was perplexing from the start, with directions so inadequate that we had to ask the way. When we arrived I was attacked by geese at large in the grounds. Despite profuse apologies from the owner's wife, and the geese then confined to a wired pen, the owner said he wouldn't be lectured, walking away when I offered some advice on the facilities. There was no TV, no WiFi connection facilitated, no freezer compartment in the fridge, not even a teapot or breadbin. To compound our...

"Beautiful hotel, staff are incredibly helpful and very polite. The spa is beautiful and the food was outstanding. I will definitely be visiting the hotel again soon! "
"The hotel on the whole was lovely and it was perfect for location. The issue was with our specific room, we had a tiny window and as far as I could make out from looking at all the windows, we were the only room in the hotel that had that small a window which made it feel more of a prison cell.
We stayed for 2 nights and each morning (once at 6am and then at 8am) we were awoken by an incredibly loud and constant vibrating noise. The first time we heard it it sounded like a plane engine so we thought it was a plane flying low initially. However I do think the room was next to maybe some kind of generator/power room and the noise was potentially related to the machines in there but I can’t stress how loud the noise was and for the time as well it just did affect the sleep."
"Clean room, some peeling painter work but it is an old building. Very small car park behind, difficult to find spaces. As it’s a city centre hotel, there was a lot of noise all through the night and in the morning, so be prepared. "
