Cricketers' Cottage

Welcome to Cricketers' Cottage, a delightful Grade II listed home brimming with character and history. Dating back to the 17th century, this beautifully preserved rural hideaway offers stunning countryside views and a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. The cottage is well-equipped and comfortably furnished, making it the perfect choice for family holidays, countryside escapes, or group gatherings.

Inside, guests can relax in the inviting old dining and sitting room, complete with a wood-burner, while gas central heating ensures warmth throughout the seasons. The cottage provides ample driveway parking for up to five cars and welcomes both children and well-behaved dogs, making it a truly inclusive setting for unforgettable breaks. Should guests require a highchair and or a cot, please request this at the time of booking.

Cricketers' Cottage features a practical layout with one en-suite bathroom, a full family bathroom, a downstairs toilet, and an additional shower in the utility room. The upstairs twin bedroom is accessed through an adjoining double room—ideal for families travelling with children, though larger groups may find the walkthrough arrangement less private.

Situated in the peaceful hamlet of Lower Apperley, the cottage provides convenient access to several Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including the Cotswolds, the Malvern Hills, and the Forest of Dean. Apperley itself is a friendly Gloucestershire village rich in rural charm, with country walks, local pubs, and riverside scenery all on the doorstep—offering a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.
