The lodge itself is good and staff are very warm and friendly. However, the access to/from lodge are terrible, one of only 2 roads was closed due to mudslide, it was horrible and finally we managed to get out from there. Be prepared for very bad gravel road for a pretty long period of time.

Great setting. Quiet. Peaceful. Bit far away to travel to. Good for outdoor activities like hiking, biking, kayaking on the lake. Not much else to do in surrounding area. Heliskiing and glacier viewing available for charter.

It is a gem that no one should miss. Outstanding facilities and staff who are friendly, polite, helpful and attentive. Do as much or as little as you want. A world class facility with guests from all over the world.

We love Tyax and have stayed there before. Unfortunately due to COVID and equipment needing to be replaced due to lack of use the lodge was understaffed, the hot tub was not working and the spa was not open.

An absolute jewel
Outstanding staff; very friendly and courteous. Spectacular scenery surrounds the Lodge and the area. The Lodge has had a reno and it was done well. Extremely limited use of plastic; for example, bathroom soaps are in pump dispenser bottles. Improvements could be made for those with mobility issues (walk-in showers and grip bars) but most of the patrons are fit and agile.

Remote location
Great hotel in a stunning setting in the mountains. Well worth the effort to travel to and the location is breath taking. Lots to do, horse riding, hiking or biking. Lake with canoes and paddle boarding.

Little piece of wilderness heaven.
Tayx was amazing, the staff and service are excellent. The food could use more choices, but is fine for a short stay. We had a problem with our food taking too long one evening, but our server, came to us and apologized before we got upset, and gave us a complementary appetizer and drinks to hold till our dinner arrived. Everybody makes mistakes but she took the initiative, and made things right. In my opinion thats all you can ask for. Kudos to Amy.

Tyax Resort - Canadian Mountain Lodge
Tyax Resort is an amazing lodge offering access to unbelievable mountain biking, hiking and sight seeing. The lodge itself is on a beautiful lake with lots of water toys to use. Rooms are comfortable and clean. I highly recommend Tyax if you want a really unique wilderness experience. Just be aware that the roads to get to the lodge are hard on your vehicle and I would recommend a SUV/Truck. You can also float plane in...

Beautiful location
Tyax was recommended to us by friends. It was a beautiful location with Tynaughton Lake in the foreground and a back drop of snow clad mountains. There were excellent walking opportunities, even for us more mature guests. The hot tub experience should not be missed followed by a Sauna. Most enjoyable and ideal as a followup to a lake side walk.

50 miles from anywhere - a great place to chill
Beautiful hotel next to lake with free canoes and paddle boarding. Lots of activities if you don't want to just chill.

restaraunt menu needs attention
Great location but difficult to get to. Staff all very helpful. They upgraded us to a lakeview room on request which made the whole experience so much more enjoyable especially when there is no air conditioning and it was hot and smokey. This way we had a veranda and outside door to open for air circulation. Sadly the restaraunt food is just not up to standard. Only option for breakfast is a very poor smorgasboard where the eggs and bacon/sausage was barely warm and selection was very limited. Orange juice was an extra charge. At $22.00 per person we have experienced a better free smorgasboard breakfast at the Quality Inn. Dinner menu also very limited. Drinks very expensive at $10.00 for a beer.

Great getaway
Tyax Lodge is a beautiful log lodge that is a favourite three day getaway from the Lower Mainland. Very peaceful and quiet. Genuine friendly and helpful staff. The food was excellent. Enjoyed a bison steak on the outdoor patio that was one of the best ever. Very close to nature. Bears, deer, bald eagles and the call of loons. Looking forward to going back!

Very nice hotel in the wilderness. ;)
One should know that the road between Lilooet eand the hotel is an experience in itself. A bit scary some parts. Some parts are unpaved. Calculate 2hrs from Lilooet. It is a very beautiful road otherwise. Exceptional view of Carpenter lake. The hotel is very nice.

Tyax is not to be missed!!
Hotel really is in the wilderness. Great for hikers and bikers. Scenery is simply stunning. Hotel staff at all levels are both efficient and interested in you as a guest. On checking out I foolishly left my wallet with over a $1000 and alt credit cards in reception which I didn't realise until the first tow we reached over 100 kilometres away. See what I mean about wilderness!! Not only did the staff lock it in the safe but insisted on driving and meeting me halfway to return it. That's customer service above and beyond!! Fantastic, if you are driving the Rockies give Tyax a try - you won't be disappointed.

Loved my stay at Tyax! Great bike tour, very peaceful lodge, my only complaint is that it was a bit noisy at night. Not terrible, but it only takes one guest when the walls are thin to make it feel that way. Other than that I really loved Tyax and hope to return again one day!

This is a very beautiful location, and well worth the drive. We came in through Lillooet, and out through Hurley River. Both roads are fine. When you start out up the Bridge River, it looks daunting, but it gets much better after only a few kilometres. The Hurley is easy. A big highway now, nothing like its reputation. The resort itself is great. Focused on the lake.

This is a great place to get away. Dont expect cell service or wifi to work. Wifi only seemed to work around the front desk which was just fine for us. If you like the wilderness, this is the place for you

Vi havde sø udsigt og Wow. Stedet ligger dog rimelig Remote og ringe Wifi, men utrolig søde og venlig personale. Er i der om sommeren og i weekenden så prøv BBQ udenfor. Super ide.
