Excursion possibilities : Due to the central location of our holiday flat, the towns of Regen, Viechtach, Deggendorf and Straubing are within easy reach for shopping / strolling.
Gotteszell belongs to the "Teisnachtal" region.
The "Glass Route" leading through the Bavarian Forest offers you a wide range of glassware with the well-known "JOSKA" glassworks in Bodenmais and the "WEINFURTNER" glass village in Arnbruck. The surrounding mountains Pröller, Geißkopf and Arber invite you to go on extensive hiking tours. In winter they are very popular for skiing (floodlit) or snowshoeing. Alternatively, there are well-groomed cross-country ski trails that run through forests and meadows. For those who like to be in the water, there is the new natural swimming pond or the "ELYPSO" adventure pool in Deggendorf. Golfers are also well catered for not far from Deggendorf and near Straubing. But if you want to "let it rip", then the largest indoor karting track in Lower Bavaria " Kart-o-mania in Geiersthal " is the place for you. In addition to the go-kart track, there are bowling alleys, billiards, slot machines, a restaurant and discos.
For city tours or other events, e.g. boat trips in Passau, Oktoberfest in Munich, trips to the Czech Republic to Prague, Pilsen, Karlsbad or Marienbad, local bus companies offer day trips.

Thanks to its central location, the large tourist resorts of Bodenmais, Regen, Zwiesel, the Großer Arber and the other mountain peaks, as well as the Bavarian Forest National Park, are easy to reach by train, bus and car.
Hiking, cycling, climbing and many activities in the forest and nature or just dozing in the sun on a flower meadow, that's how your holiday can be.
