Top Gouverneur Hotel Reviews
Riveredge Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Even though the prooerty is older it was very clean and the staff were always attentive to our needs"
Capt. Thomson's Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Balcony overlooking the river."
Bonnie Castle Resort & Marina
8/10 Good
"It was a nice and short stay. I read a lot of reviews before deciding to stay at Bonnie Castle. The reviews were accurate. The staff is friendly. The place is very outdated. My room was very clean but the balcony was small and uncomfortable. I went down to the pool. The smell of "chloramine" (chlorine mixed with urine and sweat) was astounding. The smell burned my eyes. We did not use the pool while we were there but it clearly needed to be fully cleaned."
Quality Inn & Suites Watertown Fort Drum
8/10 Good
"Everyone was incredibly helpful, but I have to admit there was no variation in breakfast at all, and the rooms are old, my desk chair needed some love."
Capt.'s Inn & Suites
10/10 Excellent
"It’s a nice quite and stuff was great"
The Stonefence Resort
8/10 Good
"My room was huge bed was comfortable and the property was in good shape I would stay again"
Holiday Inn Express Canton by IHG
8/10 Good
"Room was clean and well appointed. The staff was very helpful in making dining recommendations. The elevator was not working while we were there, which was fine for us, but would have been problematic if we had any accessibility issues. The area is nice, and with a student in school there, we'll likely be back. I would definitely stay at this hotel again."
Best Western University Inn
10/10 Excellent
"One of the best hotels in the area. Grace staff clean rooms, and a nice restaurant connected to the hotel as well as a bar for late night drinks and snacks."
The Inn at Gran View Ogdensburg, an Ascend Collection Hotel
8/10 Good
"I booked the least expensive room which turned out to have a view of the top of the overhang of the building. The room had a window with a curtain that smelled so bad I was afraid to open it for fear it would spread it’s funk throughout the room. The window which looked like I could have opened it was covered in filth and dead bugs. The bed was comfortable. The refrigerator and microwave worked well. Breakfast was a basic carb fest. If you like to eat cereal and bread you are in luck! The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday, the 2 nights that I was there. To be fair the property is beautiful. It’s on the river with lots of places to sit and enjoy views of the river. All in all it was disappointing."
