Riverside Park Hotel and Leisure Club

Riverside Park Hotel and Leisure Club

8/10 Good
"We stayed one night before going to catch an early ferry from Rosslare . The room was very good value especially as use of the leisure centre is included - we were very happy with it as were the kids ( though they charge 3 euro for a compulsory swim hat!). The receptionist on night duty was really lovely and our check out experience was very sweet because of him. My only tiny gripe is that when we moved the bed slightly to retrieve a dropped phone there were the remains of someone else’s snacks under it, and also the room was set up for two people rather than the four that we’d booked for ( two mugs two glasses two sets of towels etc). We didn’t ask them to correct this- I’m sure they would have done. It definitely feels like a properly run hotel and we loved the lobby bars and Alamo restaurant and the chilled filtered water outlets on each floor. Would definitely stay again."

What are the must-see historical places and other sights to visit in Graiguenamanagh?
A favourite place to visit is Duiske Abbey. You'll also find Gowran Park Racecourse and Mount Juliet Golf Course in the area.
What is a historic hotel like in Graiguenamanagh?
Guests who choose historic hotels have a chance to stay in a building officially recognised with a historic designation. Historic hotels throughout the world have had many former lives and uses, such as castles, palaces, grand homes or even old police stations, pubs, lodges or skyscrapers — any place of special interest. These types of hotels in Graiguenamanagh typically retain authentic elements like traditional architecture and period features in their public spaces or guestrooms.
What is the difference between a historic hotel and a heritage hotel?
The two are similar. "Historic hotel" is a term often used in the US, whereas "heritage hotel" is common in Asia and Europe. Historic hotels tend to focus on the architecture and building. A heritage hotel draws meaning mainly from the cultural value and how it influenced the community.
Do historic hotels in Graiguenamanagh have modern facilities?
Yes. Every effort is made to preserve historic facades and treasured traditions, but hotel interiors are fitted with modern conveniences and safety features. Guests can expect the usual amenities you'd get from a hotel such as private rooms with updated bathroom facilities, WiFi and more. In Graiguenamanagh, booking a historic hotel doesn't mean you're picking a place that's uncomfortable for guests or simply rundown.
