"My son and I enjoyed our 5 days at Swallow Cottage very much as we both love nature and we visited the bird sanctuary. We would have appreciated a little more communication with our host on arrival, such as 5 minutes to explain where to find the ground floor bathroom was located and the hidden bedroom TV. A few signposts, such as the name on the cottage door, and a few discreet arrows to show the way on foot to the beach would have been helpful. The accommodation was very comfortable and cosy."

"The location is very nice, next to the beach. There is quite a lot of traffic during the day which is an issue since the road is right next to the house and the insulation is quite poor. It took a while to figure out things like wifi, using the shower, how the central heating works etc because sadly there were no instructions. Some of the towels were very dirty. Also there was no soap, shampoo or hand wash. Outside the kitchen door there was a broken piece of plastic which made a lot of noise...

"The property was in the country and easy to find. The owners were on holiday so we didn’t get to meet them but Carol let us into the cottage. She was amazing! Very helpful and kind! She showed us around the property, and gave us recommendations on where to buy groceries and some things to do in the area. We loved hearing the history of the property. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. We would definitely recommend! "

"We had to switch rooms because there were so many issues with our first room. The second room we got was arguably worse in several ways, but we didn’t complain bc we figured changing rooms again would probably not work out for us. The staff was super nice, especially the cleaning ladies and the staff in the bar area. It’s just an aging hotel that needs a renovation, frankly. The price was good but I’ve been in better hotels for the same price. "

"The room was clean, shower pressure was excellent. Drink prices were fair and the lounge area was really lovely and welcoming. Breakfast seemed reasonably priced the selection was a bit limited. The biggest complaint I would have is that our room overlooked the trash area which was overflowing and very dirty with a lot of mixed materials in each bin. I get that a refuse area is never going to be spotless but when you know a room looks directly onto it it should be better maintained. "
