"Loved the 3 bed villa. En-suite bathroom for each bedroom. Very spacious. Comfy beds. Decent hairdryer, but no shower gel provided. Reef out the front for snorkelling is incredible. Amazing coral & abundance of marine life. Onsite dive centre also good. Arrival experience was average. Waited 40 mins for welcome drink, after asking 3 times. Service in beach bar was generally quite slow. Quality of breakfast was average but service was good. Lovely comfy padded sun loungers on beach. Didn’t sit by pool, mostly shaded by trees. Several places to eat locally walkable + water taxi to west end $20 for 4 people one way."

"Beautiful property. The food times are limited and can be repetitive. The beach is one of the nicest I’ve been to, and I’ve been to many! Wonderful staff! Extremely clean! The pool area, at night is breathtaking! Bring an insulated cup with you AND a reusable straw!!!! A rashguard will be especially helpful….the sun is brutal."

"Our stay at La Placita was perfect. Staff were so kind and they all felt like family by the time our stay was over. Kemberly and Michael at the front desk are the best! Breakfast was made to order and always very good. Edward was our waiter most mornings for breakfast and he was fantastic! Our room and beds were very comfortable and clean. We will definitely stay at La Placita the next time we come back to Roatan!"

"We had the private beach entirely to ourselves in February. It was a great escape. The resort does have to take you by van and then by boat to get there but that’s all of 15 minutes total time. I am returning in July and have already booked with them a second time."

"Overall we had a wonderful stay. Our room was large with 2 queen size beds. The room was clean and well furnished. we had 2 closets and a table with 2 chairs. The room was nicely decorated and well maintained. we also had a balcony with a nice view. The only negative was that the pillows on the bed were a little to large for me, my wife liked their size. The people and the resort were wonderful. Breakfast was my favorite meal. We had sausage, eggs and bacon and anything else you could possibly want. The resort is on West Bay beach and offers terrific swimming and snorkeling."
