Brindleshaw Barn is a beautiful purpose build property and is situated within the owner’s land in Harvel, Near Meopham, Kent and has been completed to a very high standard throughout, offering guests a lovely peaceful place to stay.
Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the North Downs, it is ideal for walkers, cyclist, visiting local National Trust properties namely Cobham Mausoleum and Owletts. The local village of Cobham is a 10 minutes’ drive where Charles Dickens wrote about The Leather Bottle Inn in Pickwick Papers. The pub serves food and houses a collection of Dickensian memorabilia.
The Harvel local riding stables (White Horse Farm) offers horses for hacks, carriage rides and schoolmaster riding lessons. If you enjoy running there are organised Sunday Runs in Shorne Country Park. Cyclopark is a multi-sport open-air centre for all abilities, including a skatepark and children’s playground and is a 10 minutes’ drive. Nearby are Country Parks to visit.
Harvel House Farm Shop (open Friday and Saturday) suppling a fine selection of Butchery including BBQ food, Delicatessen and fresh Fruit and Vegetables.
There are many fine eating places in the nearby villages of Meopham, Trosley, Luddesdown, Stansted and Cobham. Takeaway food may be ordered and delivered by nearby Pizza, Indian and Chinese Local shops and supermarkets nearby.
We are within a 15-minute drive to Bluewater Mall, a leisure shopping centre with restaurants, cinemas, and outdoor activities.
Meopham Station takes you into London Victoria in less than 45 minutes. Ebbsfleet International Station is a 15 minutes’ drive with train journeys into London St Pancras, 17 minutes. Or if you wish to visit the seaside, Whitstable, Herne Bay, Margate, and Ramsgate are easily accessible by car or train. M25/M20 motorways are close by.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Brindleshaw Barn! The cottage had everything we needed, making our stay incredibly comfortable and convenient. Our hosts were exceptionally accommodating and friendly, which added a personal touch to our experience.The location was ideal for us, as it was not far from Tesco and other grocery stores, making it easy to stock up on essentials. Additionally, it was perfectly situated for visiting various attractions in Kent, which was exactly what we were looking for.The kitchen was well-equipped with all the necessary utensils, allowing us to prepare meals with ease. Overall, Brindleshaw Barn provided a perfect home away from home, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!
