"The hotel was very busy, which is understandable, but the fact that we were on the 16th floor and waited 45 minutes for an elevator that never arrived was inexcusable. We had to walk down 16 flights of stairs with luggage and two kids, only to be told our breakfast was over and we had missed it. "

"Part of the problem was that I wasn't aware that it would be March break in Ontario when I booked this hotel, so that was my fault. Usually the breaks don't match up to where we are coming from. But the hotel was BANANAS. My kids were really looking forward to the pool/waterslide but during the 2 nights we stayed, we were only able to sign into the pool for 50 mins (at 10pm!) once and it was so crowded that it wasn't enjoyable. The hot tub was full of toddlers (like 8-10 at a time) even at that late hour. The room was a decent size and clean enough, but the cold water tap in the bathroom didn't work, the kettle didn't work, the shower was extremely difficult to control (to the point of scorching) and the balcony (inaccessible) was COVERED in cigarette butts. It was truly disappointing. There weren't enough pillows for all 4 of us. I feel like (possibly) some of the room have been renovated recently and we may have been sent to the old, unrenovated part that isn't used unless the hotel is very full? I'm not really sure, but I would say that if you are looking for a hotel in this price range and neighbourhood, go stay at the Holiday Inn next to Maple Leaf Gardens, it has a better pool anyway (no waterslide, though.) "

"This was our first booked trip as a family of 4 and our stay was excellent. Highlight of the stay was the breakfast. We wanted to get to the pool, but it got shut down early Friday night due to an accident. Hotel is in a great spot for walking around and accessing the majority of downtown Chicago. Check in and check out was easy, room was very spacious for a family of 4 and we had a great time. Embassy suites will be our first choice when planning our next stay in Chicago. Few things to point out that were little hiccups in our stay, the phone in our room had a connection issue to the front desk, no biggie as we spent most of our time out in the city. The other thing to note is the elevators, if the hotel is packed, you will be waiting for the elevator for an extended time, so just keep that in mind when planning outings in the city. Do yourself a favor and go on spot Hero and book a parking spot if your traveling with your car. Hotel valet was double the price I paid for in and out access right next door to the hotel for 2 nights. We will be back to this location for a future stay!"
