"The worst Hyatt stay ever! Where do I start! We booked 2 double-bed rooms for a HS team for a math competition. We were told there were only 1-Q rooms left and staff offered to provide rollaway beds for free. As we had a flight delay and it was late, we accepted it. The rollaway beds squeaked in the windowless rooms all night and kids who had a math competition the next day couldn’t sleep. My room was next to a service elevator that made thundering sounds all night. I woke up 15 minutes into my sleep thinking it was an earthquake. No, that sound continued all night. Oh, the toilet broke too! And the $25 breakfast plus service charges was only as good as Residence Inn free breakfast. The location was great but the $50 parking was a nightmare also because of the location. After all the tips, the valet “lost” my husband’s Oakley also. Staff’s attitudes were surprisingly not quite the norm of a Hyatt Regency. The only great thing was the rooms were spacious but I’ll never stay there again!"

"Delighted to discover Hotel Mazarin! We live in Louisiana and have been coming to New Orleans for decades for theater, weddings, or shopping. Located a 5-minute walk from Saenger Theater, across the street from John Foltse's Revolution, a block from Arnaud's, GW Fins, 1 block off Bourbon Street, a 2-3 minute walk from Galatoire's and Antoine's. Rooms are clean, tastefully decorated, roomy and relaxing. Doors open to a beautiful spacious courtyard below. A quaint bar on property and The Old Absinthe Bar steps away. Pleasant and attentive staff. Bravo!"

Bourbon Orleans Hotel

"Great hotel right in the heart of the French Quarter. Central to everything. Room was fantastic with the only caveat that our room was on the sixth floor and hot water and water pressure was inconsistent. On two days we had to forgo showering because there was no hot water. Friends of ours that stayed on the third floor reported no such issues so we suspect that this may only be a problem on the top floor. Staff was very apologetic and knocked our bill down a bit. In addition, one front desk staff member comp'd us breakfast but we ended up getting charged for it anyway and had to argue with them a bit about that. Otherwise, had a fantastic stay and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the quarter."

"Staff was not as helpful as they should have been. Parking was across the street in a coded re-entry parking lot. The staff at the desk gave us no instructions regarding the parking lot. Also, the front desk never gave us a Welcome Letter with internet information and the code to access the parking lot after my husband parked the car. The room had no glasses or ice bucket and the telephone in our room did not work! I had to go down to the front desk to get a phone number to use and ask about The Welcome Letter with the internet password etc. I also got the glasses I needed. The only place you can get ice is through the front desk. On the positive side, the room was spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. The rooftop bar has spectacular views of the Mississippi River but the drinks are very expensive. The breakfast was very good, however, they seemed short-staffed since tables were not cleaned after use and food was not resupplied without asking. This hotel has great potential if managed and staffed better."
