Tucked away down a quiet road in the Long Beach area of Hemsby, Marram Sands is a spacious detached bungalow just two minutes’ walk from the dunes leading to a quieter stretch of beach. Head 5–10 minutes in the other direction and you’ll reach the main Hemsby Beach with its shops, cafés, amusements and everything you’d expect from a traditional seaside holiday.
A key feature of this lovely property is the sunny patio and enclosed garden, with glimpses of the sea. Inside, the large open-plan living room offers comfortable seating, a smart TV with Freeview and a cosy woodburner for the cooler months. The dining table seats six and can also be converted into a mini pool table for a bit of evening fun. Guests can also enjoy the unique addition of a jukebox.
The kitchen leads off the dining area and is well equipped with a double electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. A door leads directly from the kitchen to the back garden. Alternatively, you can pass through the study – which has a desk and printer – into the conservatory, which also opens onto the garden. Outside there is plenty of garden furniture including a table and chairs, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach.
Marram Sands has been thoughtfully set up to offer easy access throughout. There are no steps anywhere on the drive, in the garden or inside the bungalow, creating a level layout throughout. Ramps are provided for the conservatory so a mobility scooter or standard wheelchair can comfortably access the main living areas including the conservatory, kitchen and lounge/diner. The property also features a walk-in shower with a seat and grab rail for additional comfort and convenience.
The main bedroom has a super king-size bed and an ensuite with walk-in shower, washbasin and WC. Bedroom two has twin 3' single beds, while bedroom three has twin 2'6" single beds which are more suitable for children. The main bathroom includes a bath, large walk-in shower, washbasin and WC, and there is also a separate WC just off the entrance hall.
The garden is enclosed and very private, and there are miles of wonderful coastal walks right on the doorstep. Winterton-on-Sea is a pleasant 15–20 minute walk away, or you can explore the Norfolk Broads, which are within easy driving distance. There is off-road parking for 2–3 cars.
1–2 dogs are welcome to stay free of charge. We kindly ask that dogs are kept to the living areas and off the furniture.
