For us it was the friendly approachable staff and the good atmosphere. We liked the breakfast and the room very much, everything was easy and felt relaxed. The staff were exceptionally kind to our son, who is five, and we’re happy to chat with him each day. We appreciated that kindness - thank you.
The property is currently undergoing renovation,
The main public areas and our room were freshly decorated, clean & tidy.
The staircase is overdue for updating and will lift the level when done.
The staff could not have been more helpful and breakfast service as good as any other place.

Liked: Cleanliness
The room was clean but the walls needed repainting as there were watermarks on some of the walls. Decor had been updated though as well as furnishings. Shower was very temperamental so ended up having a bath instead as couldn’t regulate the temperature. Friendly helpful staff as always .
Our room was clean. The bed linen and towels were of good quality. The room has a tv and tea and coffee making facilities which is nice. Breakfast was adequate. The walls a very thin and we were woken up very early by guests in the next room turning their tv on very loudly. We arrived quite late and there was no car parking available, but managed to park in the road. Apart from that we had a good stay and would come again.

Pleasant surprise
After reading reviews, I was a little unsure whether to book. However, I only need accommodation for one evening. I called the morning I was due to travel and was advised that there was a refurbished room available and although I was booking online I could add a note to request.
Our room was much better than I envisaged over looking the front with a sea view. Comfortable bed, two nice chairs in the room by the window which we liked. Bathroom was fine, clean, just needs the radiator replacing or painting.
We enjoyed 3 games of pool which my son really enjoyed. This was in the downstairs area, with bar and nice seating outside.
Next morning we both enjoyed a good breakfast with cereals, toast and a cooked breakfast. Tea for two and plenty of juice to choose from too. I would book again and look forward to seeing the renovations continue. Overall great affordable overnight stay with a fab breakfast.
Amazing apartment-only 2 things-no where to put your toiletries in shower and nowhere for tails to hang after use . Would recommend this place 100 per cent .

Room for improvement but would stay again.
This was my first stay at this hotel. Some things were done well however some areas need improvement. I referred some room issues to the team that require addressing and my comments seemed to be received well. Saying that I'd absolutely give the place a 2nd chance to impress.
No heating condensation running down windows electic kept tripping out so cold unable to sleep when i reported this only answer was heating did.nt come on till october could.nt take photos as unable to charge my phone had to change hotels after 2 dreadful nights
The room was dirty there was no heating on and it was cold. Breakfast was rubbish, shower was terrible toto use. The window cils were thilfy, no double glazing. The room needs updating. Would not recommend.
