The property is small, quiet, private, and the views are stunning! The bathroom smelled at times, but staff were really quick to try and solve, although it's a larger issue that cannot be solved with spraying deodorant. Imerovigli itself is rather small; however, Firostefani, which is a bit larger and has more shops and restaurants is only a 10-min walk, and adding another 10 mins is Thera where the main action is, so all in all, not too far away. Great small boutique hotel perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views!

The location is perfect! Other suites have a pathway cutting through so there is no privacy. Cocoon is in an area to itself so strangers are not walking past while you relax in the jacuzzi. The breakfast was delicious and served to our room every morning ( you pick the time) so we could eat on the balcony with the sea view. The service was amazing, they helped us arrange transportation and things to do on the island. The bed was so comfortable and the space in the suite was a nice size. I would also recommend the 3 course dinner with wine tasting...it was delicious! I would definitely stay at cocoon suites again. But to anyone who has issues with walking and steps it could be an issue...along with the rest of Santorini as it is built on a mountain/ cliff so you must be able to walk steps in order to get around. Thank you to the wonderful staff for such an amazing experience!

had a really great time staying in cocoon suites. the location was really great, with a nice balcony w/ a great view. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would def come back here for a relaxing weekend in Santorini.

Amazing view, amazing service, amazing room. What would make it better - transparency of booking a transfer to the ferry port. Thinking it was exclusively for us, planning that with time to the ferry. Instead it was us as the first pick up, then 3 additional pick ups, creating a lot of anxiety on if we will make our ferry. Considering there were 3 pick ups, an exclusive taxi probably would have been the same price.

Excellent service and views. Rooms were very clean, updated, spacious. Loved the cave shower, the grand cave suite was amazing!! Spent the entire day out on the deck with the amazing views, did not want to leave!! Will definitely recommend to everyone who goes to Santorini

The positives: Nice views and great sunset. Room was large. We had a nice jacuzzi in the grand cave suite. Staff were friendly and helpful. Things that needed improvement: one of the sun loungers was badly stained - not what you would expect for the price. Quite off putting. The breakfast wasn’t great either. I also think they could provide things like a welcome bottle of wine (although they do provide water) given the price. If these things can be fixed then great but if they stay the same its not worth the price ie price is not consistent with the experience.

Great service but drawbacks
The numerous steep stone steps without railings that often are wet, and uneven difficult-to-walk pathways in the area make it very difficult to go to and from this property. Please be aware. This is compounded by the fact that there are few taxis in Santorini and public transportation is inconvenient. The hot tub unfortunately broke down during our stay and was not repaired for several days. The shower ran out of hot water for one day. The town also had a blackout during that time. The service was fantastic, but I would stay closer to the main towns where the pathways are better kept and there are more services since we prefer safer stairs, pathways and access to taxis.

Thank you for your feedback. We always try to improve through our guests comments and we wish that you could adress them to us when you are still staying at the hotel. Some times bad luck gives a wrong impression, we feel really bad when our guests do not experience the full cocoon service.

The moment we checked in, the room’s TV was not working, hotel staff told us that it will be fixed the next day, so we’re like oh that’s fine. Then the next day it was still not fixed, then the hotel staff mentioned that it was public holiday in Greece so they couldn’t get anyone to fix it, but they could have told us the truth on the first day. Later on that day, we came back to the room and to our horror the ceiling was leaking, they tried to fix but that took the whole afternoon, so we didn’t get to enjoy the room for the whole day. So we just chilled on the public day bed and went for dinner. When we came back the lights are not working due to the leak on the ceiling, this is extremely frustrating. So we paid $500 a night, for a room with no lights to read a book and no tv to watch. We understand that the ceiling leak was an accident due to another hotel above us, but it’s not an excuse to check in to a hotel room this expensive and have the TV not functioning. Please avoid this hotel, very poorly maintained and it was totally disappointing.

Dear guest, Thank you for your review. It is unfortunate that you had to experience such a series of unexpected events. It is true that the other hotel had a huge leaking problem, from what we know their water boiling system exploded. That affected us and we had major damages which were not caused by our facilities. That is why you experienced some drops of water into the room. Our trained staff tried to resolve the issue immediately but unfortunately it was a national day. I acknowledge that one lightbulb was out of order for one night but the room has efficient lighting still and we also brought you an auxiliary lighting device for any case. Our Cocoon is built on 2016 thus it is a brand new hotel with very high standards, member of Green Key with enviromental policy, and always looking to create a memorable experience for our guests. We are dissapointed that we didnt create the experience you imagined but we are also feeling sad that such things made you leave a 1 star review. It feels like ignoring all the hard work we are doing for you and undermines the whole effort and service. Finally, we would love if you could just tell us that you were unhappy before your departure, I am sure we would find a suitable solution.

hotel room is spacious enough for two, the hot tub facing the volcano is amazing and you can have your breakfast at your room balcony looking at the volcano every morning, definitely recommended place to stay in imerovigli

Santorini (and Cocoon suites) lives up to the hype! Would stay here again without hesitation, even during low season, though Imerovigli is a bit dead, you'll need to go to Fira or Oia for food/shopping options. The jacuzzi tub is an amazing place to watch the sunset, though I wish it were heated (the sun did keep it warm, though). Breakfast is served every morning on the balcony, looking over the caldera. The staff was able to handle all our needs, including scheduling our car rental (they just need 30 min notice!) to pick up/drop off at the local parking lot. Renting a car is highly recommended if you plan to do anything more than walk the local villages and veg on the balcony. Weather in early November was fabulous, a warm high 60F and sunny. One complimentary large bottle of water in the day, which you need because the water is only technically potable. It has a strong soapy taste. This is not the hotel's fault, but I would consider leaving two water bottles per room, or having some free ones available in the main office. One minor design flaw (and our only complaint) is in the bathroom; the shower has a window in it and this results in water getting all over the bathroom. The toilet was completely wet after every shower. Also, the shower drain broadcasts the other nearby room's bathroom noise rather loudly; conversations, singing, etc. NOTE that as with all caldera hotels, there are quite a few stair to navigate. However, the hotel handled our baggage on arrival/depart.

We stayed at cocoon suites for our honeymoon and couldn't be more pleased. The location Imerovigli was the perfect setting, restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance without the massive tourist crowds of Oia. We had the Honeymoon suite and the caldera views were stunning. Sitting on our balcony having breakfast (which was delicious btw) or soaking in the tub was dreamy. What made the trip truly great was how friendly and helpful the staff were. Maria and Nana were so kind and helped us arrange anything from activities to reservations. Highly recommend for couples!

We were just there on our honeymoon and had a fantastic 4 day stay. The staff were very nice and helpful, especially Nana. The view was spectacular and the room was exactly as shown in the pictures. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again. The only disappointment was the size of the meals were very small and pretty expensive, but there are so many local restaurants close by with great food for a good price that you can find something for your palette there. 2 thumbs up for Cocoon.

Our stay in Cocoon was excellent. Hotel was exactly as advertised and the staff was super friendly and professional. We reached the hotel late in the night. I called and informed the staff beforehand and they asked us to call the desk as soon as the cab drops us on the main road. As promised, Apostolis was ready to carry our bags at 11pm. Rooms were super clean and cozy (exactly as shown in the pictures). The location is perfect too. You get the best of both Caldera and the white buildings. We got up next day to the most beautiful view ever. Breakfast was ready and waiting in our balcony. Breakfast with the view was one of the highlights of our trip. Both Nana and Maria (Receptionists) were always available to help us with everything. (Car rental , sunset cruise, restaurant recommendation etc..) Overall, I strongly recommend this place. Location, service, ambiance, food, staff gets 5 stars.

i have no words except this hotel is perfect. it's picturesque everywhere you lay your eyes on. breakfast was delicious, served every morning on your patio in front of the caldera. it's a bit of a workout to get in this hotel but so worth it. the location is very central, it's imerovigli, you can hike to fira or oia and can easily go to skaros rock. there's a bus stop close by. nana, the front desk manager is very nice. rooms and bathrooms are very clean. love the ambiance, very cave like. our beds and bathrooms are fixed every time we come back from going out and we always get some little treats like cookies, chocolates, etc. overall outstanding customer service in this hotel. we will definitely come back and recommend to friends. this hotel is perfect!

We truly enjoyed our stay with Cocoon Suites! The staff was extremely helpful and hospitable. The rooms are very nice and we enjoyed our honeymoon suite -- the jacuzzi was perfect for watching the sunset. The hotel thought of so many details: a welcome treat with two glasses of wine, a big bottle of water upon arrival, a great breakfast on the balcony every morning and a nice late night snack. Nana was able to schedule any excursions that we were interested in and was always extremely helpful! We also enjoyed staying in Imerovigli as there were plenty of great restaurant options, it was a little quieter than Fira, and it's central making it easy to get around Santorini. Lastly, after spending a week viewing sunsets from all parts of the island (including Oia) it's safe to say that Imerovigli was our favorite! Would highly recommend!

Perfect suite on caldera's edge w/ great view
Amazing location with perfect views of the caldera and sunsets. Easy access by foot to many cafes and restaurants. Private terrace w/ jacuzzi was great. Staff were super-friendly and very helpful; well-deserved shout-outs to Nana (concierge, who helped us plan several excursions), Apostollis (helped us with everything from bags, to connecting with rides, to adjusting the jacuzzi temp) and Ilir (bartender/waiter). They made the place feel like a bit of home away from home. Breakfasts were really good and offered plenty of healthy choices, like avocado toast w/ eggs, yogurt, fruit, granola, etc. Quiet, perfect spot to chill and relax, or venture out to see the sights. WiFi worked well (nothing to be taken for granted, even these days, in upscale properties).
