"Driving to the villa location, it has olive groves and beautiful views. Beware the name sign on the villa is tiny and you need to get out of the car to make sure it’s the right place. The directions could include that the villa is just before the Parugia restaurant. Once in the villa is exquisite. A wonderful eclectically furnished home with beautiful personal touches - it feels like a home not a rental. The personality of the owners is everywhere. The villa has everything inside you could wish for. From beautiful thick cotten towels, a larder stocked with all the cooking aids you need, luxurious lounge with leather sofas and magnificent artwork. Great laundry room and lovely outside sitting areas. We were greeted by Simone who was so helpful all week and replied and advised promptly on any request. The location is away from any restaurants or shops - a car is needed to go anywhere and taxi services are extremely difficult to find which was disappointing as the website advise there were 5 restaurants within walking 5-8 mins. That is possible but the roads are extremely narrow and dark with no street lighting so would strongly advise you do not try to walk anywhere in the evening. We had a lovely stay and the villa cannot be faulted as many reviews say. Our comment to make it even better would be to have some sunbeds on an area near the pool for relaxing in the cooler afternoons. Thank you Villa Poggio Scaletti"

"The hotel is spotless and the cleaners were polite and kept the room very clean. The food is just ok. The pool is excellent with plenty of loungers and parasols. The location is a bit out of town ( half an hours walk) and at the top of a hill. Some of the staff unfortunately were quite rude, whilst the others however were friendly and helpful .The beer bottles from the bar fridge were warm. The draught beer was flat and half of it was foam. All in all its a good clean hotel with an excellent swimming pool."
