"We stayed 2 weeks in Italy and stayed in 5 different properties and this was our favorite. It’s not fancy by any means but safe, quiet, clean and comfortable and the location and experience of staying in a former monastery can’t be beat. Staff was super friendly and breakfast was very good and included. There is limited parking so make sure to reserve that (we traveled with my 80 year old mother so it was essential for us given the hills in Assisi). "

"Beautiful property in the heart of Assisi. We stayed here after completing the Via di Francesco and they were very accommodating. The hotel is very comfortable with fashionable modern touches. Great breakfast with eggs (which we had been craving). "

"Ideal location, halfway between Basilica San Franceso and Chiesa Santa Chiara. Everything in Assisi was within short walking distance. Crucially, the hotel had 10 parking spots directly in front, which allows entrance into the ZTL (otherwise forbidden). Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Booked the "family room," which was huge and had a great view. Great value."

"Very good hotel - restaurant provides good cuisine at reasonable prices. Breakfast buffet outstanding quality. Only ‘complaint’ was lack of walk in shower. Bath with hand held shower difficult to navigate as panels too high and no grab rail. However pluses far outweigh the negatives. For those - like us - using Perugia as base to c For independent travellers HGWeJA is very accessible by public transport. It is about 1km from the main rail station. You can get buses (B,C)to and from the bus station which stop very near the hotel.
