"The only thing i did not like was there was no A/C in the room i stood in nor was there a screen to keep out bugs if i opened the window for fresh air at night. But with that being said the people on the property where very helpful, kind and the food was great and prices were good. its a very personal type of place to stay no big crowds and central to many things to do i would highly recommend staying as well as staying here again if i ever go back to Antigua."

"The room was gross. There were bugs and ants all over in the bathroom including the toilet. There were no towels. The linen was not clean. There was no one in charge on the property, the kitchen lady had to call someone to check us in. The kitchen lady also left around 7:00 PM so the security guard got us some towels. "The service at this hotel is unparalleled! I have never received better customer service in any other hotel in my life! They really go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible! This hotel is first class. The hotel is beautiful and very clean! The staff is extremely friendly and courteous! Upon check in I mentioned to my partner that I was hungry after the days travel. While showering in our room, we heard a knock at the door. My partner answered it and the lady said she heard we were hungry, so she brought us a fruit plate to hold us off until we got dinner... 5 stars service! We did have a problem with our air conditioning on our last day, however they made every attempt to fix the issue. Unfortunately it was not able to be fixed during our stay. They did however upgrade us to the premium level which was very nice of them! I will only stay at Barcelo when I am in Guatemala City from now on! Great job!"
