"Nice location in Chennai. Staff are very attentive and helpful. I saw the staff helping a guest pack an art item for shipment!
The hotel is near the Phoenix mall which has many shops and restaurants."

"this has been rated and advertised as a four-star hotel but it is not. It is hardly a two star there is nobody at the lobby. After hours There is a cleaner/ receptionist Nepali guy who hardly speaks any English caveat emptor.
No tissue paper in toilet , the room is smelly and outdated , did not feel safe

Overall very good. Beds are super comfortable and rooms much larger than average and great bathrooms. Nice and quiet. They should promote the fact that spa has free steam room and jacuzzi. I only discovered this on my last stay. Roof top pool is great and excellent staffing. Only negarive is lack of main course dishes that are not too spicy at dinner buffet and also breakfast range is a bit more limited than other five star hotels. But quality is fine. Also a bit grubby in places. Outside...

I have stayed in this hotel in the past. It is always very comfortable and the service is pleasant and efficient. Excellent A/C (very important in Chennai during May), and excellent breakfast buffet.

Really excellent stay in suite room. They can add beds for extra guests in living area. Also very comfortable sofa and can get extra duvet. Main bedroom in suite really super : so comfortable and quiet with plenty of space and super size bed. Great bathroom and good linen but no bath. I’ve stayed in Raintree many times in standard deluxe rooms but this suite was exceptional and not too expensive compared to other normal rooms in 5stars hotels in Chennai, but way better. I’ve stayed in most of...

This hotel has been totally renovated since my last stay many years ago. While the finish is stunning, it is almost over-engineered and was a challenge to try and turn off all the room and bathroom lights (there is even a blue light in the toilet bowl that stays on all night and you can see from bedroom!!). Very frustrating. Had to try and cover some lights so I could sleep, such as under wardrobe area. You have to use a keypad to close and open curtains etc. Overly complicated design and...

This was my third or fourth stay in this hotel, and the best so far. In the past I have found the mattresses hard, but this time they gave some more bedding to cushion it and I had a great sleep. As always the facilities are top notch and immaculate. I love the spa and pool area and staff very attentive. Breakfast amazing, as usual, and for this price you cannot even get a two or three star hotel in Europe and this is one of the best hotels you can stay in! My only quibble is that the music...
