"Overall, my experience at Riu Palace Las Americas was good, but it really depends on what kind of trip you’re looking for. This hotel has a much more laid-back atmosphere, making it ideal for older travelers and couples who want to relax. If you’re expecting a lively, party-style resort, this is definitely not it.
That said, there were a few issues that stood out. When I arrived, my patio furniture was oddly placed inside the room instead of out on the patio, which was inconvenient. The shower also wasn’t in the best condition—there was a noticeable pile of dirt in the corner, which was disappointing. Additionally, the lighting throughout the room could be improved, as it felt dim and not very inviting. One of the biggest drawbacks was the air conditioning—it doesn’t go lower than 73°, and that limit seems to apply across the entire hotel, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times.
In summary, while the resort has a calm and pleasant vibe, there are some maintenance and comfort issues that could be addressed to improve the overall experience."
